Position Overview

The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for maintaining the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating amenities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and proper equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.

Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and operational execution to ensure organizational goals are met efficiently. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance productivity and maintain high standards of quality. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align departmental objectives with broader company initiatives, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify gaps, and implement corrective actions as needed. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear communication and ensuring alignment on priorities and expectations.

Monitor pool and boating areas vigilantly to prevent accidents, enforce safety protocols, and address emergencies with immediate action.

Facility Maintenance involves ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas, as well as monitoring water quality and promptly reporting any discrepancies.

Operate and secure boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment while ensuring proper storage and maintenance.

Provide exceptional customer service by attending to guests’ poolside requirements, organizing boat rides, and facilitating recreational activities; deliver clear instructions and maintain a friendly, supportive demeanor throughout all interactions.

Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to organize and execute guest activities seamlessly.

Qualifications

Strong swimming proficiency is required, with a preference for candidates holding lifeguard certification.

Prior experience in the operation of small boats or watercraft safely is required.

CPR and First Aid certification are strongly preferred qualifications for this role.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience within the hospitality sector, including roles in hotels, resorts, or recreational establishments.

Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to engage thoughtfully and courteously with a broad spectrum of guests, ensuring each interaction reflects professionalism and inclusivity.
