Investigate the origins and dissemination of antimicrobial resistance (AMR) within environmental contexts, systematically evaluating and delineating sectors at heightened risk.

Provide specialized technical guidance and recommendations to support national antimicrobial resistance (AMR) management initiatives.

A comprehensive diagnostic report that examines the prevailing environmental antimicrobial resistance (AMR) landscape in Tunisia, identifying critical risks, existing knowledge deficiencies, and actionable recommendations for urgent interventions.

Identify knowledge and data deficiencies, then design strategic operational or research initiatives to bridge these gaps, culminating in a comprehensive and executable roadmap. This roadmap, to be finalized after the workshop, will be formally presented to the government for approval and implementation.

The role involves crafting and delivering clear, compelling communications to ensure the compiled knowledge reaches and resonates with the intended audiences effectively.

Engage in the national workshop by delivering presentations on key findings from the studies.

Facilitate meaningful discussions throughout the workshop to gather insights for the knowledge gap analysis.

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is necessary. Experience with software development methodologies, debugging tools, and version control systems is preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively within a team. Familiarity with database management and cloud computing platforms is a plus.

A master’s degree or equivalent advanced university qualification in microbiology, environmental health, environmental management, environmental science, or a closely related discipline is necessary.

Two years of relevant professional experience may be considered as an alternative to holding a university degree.

A minimum of two years of professional experience in environmental policy, public health, or a closely related discipline is required.

Required is a demonstrated track record in antimicrobial resistance, with particular emphasis on environmental factors including pollution, chemical agents, waste, and wastewater.

Required is a proven track record in delivering technical and policy guidance within diverse, cross-disciplinary teams operating across global, regional, and/or national frameworks.

A proven ability to collaborate successfully with a wide range of stakeholders—such as government entities, United Nations agencies, the Quadripartite, private sector partners, and international organizations—is highly advantageous.
