Oversee and execute a range of essential duties and tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Responsible for managing and delivering key responsibilities that contribute significantly to operational efficiency and effectiveness. Perform specialized functions within the defined scope, maintaining high standards of professionalism and accountability throughout all assigned activities.

Offer expert administrative and operational support by directing security and conservation teams, maintaining accurate records with strict confidentiality, and facilitating seamless communication among JOCK, KWS, and NRT. Additionally, you will organize and oversee departmental meetings and training sessions, while meticulously monitoring staff leave and off-day schedules to ensure full adherence to organizational policies.

Oversee procurement and logistics functions, including requisition processing, purchase orders, supply chain deliveries, and vehicle upkeep, while ensuring adherence to all licensing requirements.

Develop and oversee budgets for General Security and Armed Security, meticulously tracking expenditures and ensuring strict adherence to contractual obligations. Collaborate closely with Finance, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and Grants teams to maintain fiscal integrity and alignment with organizational goals.

Grants & Fundraising: Responsibilities include preparing and refining grant proposals, contributing to fundraising campaigns, and ensuring adherence to donor requirements.

Monitoring and reporting duties include collecting, organizing, and validating monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data, assessing submissions from various departments, and producing detailed incident and operational reports.

Coordinate with governmental bodies, non-governmental organizations, and key stakeholders to uphold adherence to Kenyan regulations and donor-specific guidelines. Serve as LEA’s representative in JOCK meetings, ensuring alignment with external requirements and fostering collaborative partnerships.

Assigned responsibilities may vary over time as needed.

Job Specifications

The ideal candidate must have the following qualifications:

A minimum of a diploma in Business Administration, Public Administration, Project Management, Finance, Procurement & Supply Chain Management, or a closely related field is required.

A bachelor’s degree is beneficial.

Seeking a candidate with a minimum of three to five years of expertise in administrative and financial coordination, ideally within the fields of conservation or security.

In environments operated by non-governmental organizations or funded by donors,

Skilled in a wide range of Information Technology competencies, encompassing data management, reporting systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and security software applications.

Proficient understanding of wildlife conservation regulations applicable in Kenya is essential.

Maintaining a steadfast commitment to integrity, upholding the highest ethical standards, and exercising sound judgment are essential qualities required for this role.

Possesses highly developed organizational abilities and a strong capacity for making effective decisions.

Demonstrates strong self-motivation and the capacity to manage tasks with minimal supervision.
