Oversee and manage daily operations to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to organizational standards, while spearheading strategic initiatives that drive growth and innovation within the department. Develop and implement comprehensive policies, procedures, and performance metrics to optimize productivity and enhance service delivery. Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a collaborative culture that encourages professional development and accountability. Collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to align goals, resolve challenges, and achieve company-wide objectives. Monitor key performance indicators, conduct data-driven analyses, and present actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, legal requirements, and internal policies to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity. Act as a liaison between executive leadership and frontline staff, facilitating transparent communication and alignment on strategic priorities.

Provide support for the Accounts Payable team by thoroughly examining invoices and accompanying documentation to validate expenses prior to processing payments.

Maintains meticulously organized and precise financial records, encompassing both digital and physical formats, to facilitate efficient retrieval.

You will assist with daily, weekly, and monthly treasury operations, performing essential duties such as monitoring and recording routine financial transactions.

Provide accounts receivable support by monitoring billing processes and coordinating with relevant departments to ensure prompt collections.

Assist in preserving precise and current financial transaction records within accounting systems to ensure accuracy and compliance.

Support the oversight of cash movements related to program funding and provide assistance in conducting basic reconciliations as directed.

Provide compliance support by helping to maintain accurate documentation and ensure the timely submission of statutory deductions, such as PAYE, NSSF, and VAT, under supervision.

Comprehensive financial reporting responsibilities include assembling and compiling monthly financial reports and summaries to ensure accurate and timely financial information is provided.

Provide assistance with audit preparation by helping to compile and organize necessary documents and information.

Provide collaborative assistance to the business development team, delivering essential financial and administrative support across various functions.

Provide administrative and human resources support, including managing records and overseeing leave tracking.

Provide general support by executing all additional responsibilities delegated to facilitate the organization’s operational and educational goals.

The Accounts Payable role involves processing payments accurately, ensuring all expenses are matched with the corresponding invoices and supporting documentation.

Requirements

Earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related business discipline.

Demonstrates a foundational knowledge of accounting standards and financial statement preparation.

Professional qualification progress, such as a CPA, ARCA, or equivalent designation, is highly advantageous.

Proven expertise in Microsoft Office applications is required, with a preference for candidates who possess experience in accounting systems.

Individuals must possess meticulous attention to detail and demonstrate a proactive approach to continuous learning.
