Reporting directly to the Group Head of Financial Controls and Governance, this position will oversee routine transactional activities and execute financial closing procedures—including monthly, quarterly, and annual cycles—specifically within the Accounts Payable function.
Oversee and execute critical duties including the management and coordination of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets while maintaining high-quality deliverables. Prior to finalizing any agreements, including contract terms and other relevant arrangements, the information must be processed into the supplier’s accounting records.
Review supplier transactions to verify their completeness and accuracy, ensuring that all invoices and required supporting documentation are properly authorized for payment processing.
Prepare supplier invoice allocation schedules and verify that operating expenses are correctly assigned to the appropriate cost centers in accordance with established allocation criteria.
Compile and submit payment vouchers, ensuring timely follow-up to secure prompt authorization.
Conduct monthly supplier reconciliations for key suppliers, ensuring accurate and timely monitoring and resolution of discrepancies.
Develop and manage schedules for accruals and prepayments to ensure accurate financial tracking and reporting.
Facilitate the monthly accounting closing process to deliver precise and punctual financial statements. This includes preparing and obtaining approval for end-of-month accruals and prepayment journal entries.
Handle supplier inquiries regarding invoices and payments with urgency and professionalism to ensure timely resolution.
Oversee vendor and supplier documentation while tracking account statuses to confirm prompt payment processing.
Prepare and process tax and statutory checks and EFT payments promptly to prevent any penalties from arising.
Responsibilities include the preparation and issuance of accounts payable checks or the processing of payment transactions for online banking platforms, pending necessary approvals and final release.
Provide assistance with both internal and external audit procedures, including participation in compliance assessments and statutory evaluations.
Performs any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor to support operational needs.
