Job Purpose
The Accountant will be tasked with meticulously documenting and managing all financial records and transactions within the general ledger, upholding the accuracy, dependability, and adherence of AZT’s financial statements to applicable accounting standards and legal requirements. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, this role is pivotal in facilitating internal reporting mechanisms and supporting external audit obligations.

Responsible for managing daily accounting and financial operations to guarantee accurate processing and documentation of all transactions in compliance with established financial policies and procedures, adhering to specified deadlines.
Execute the establishment and ongoing management of internal controls and an accounting framework aligned with international best practices, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
Examine payment vouchers to verify that they are submitted promptly, contain all necessary supporting documentation, and accurately reflect the required payment details.
Accurately maintain and update all financial records, including the Financial Management Report, Cash Flow Forecast, and Aged Accounts Receivable, while ensuring timely submission of monthly reports in accordance with specified deadlines. Additionally, oversee the General Ledger to guarantee precise alignment with business operations.
By meticulously preparing and reviewing balance sheet and control account reconciliations, verify that the financial statement balances are both comprehensive and precise. Additionally, scrutinize the monthly financial closing file to promptly correct any discrepancies that may arise.
Monitor and assess departmental operations to identify opportunities for enhancing procedural efficiency and optimizing resource allocation, all while ensuring precision remains uncompromised.
Review and analyze consolidated data to verify its accuracy and alignment with source information, ensuring the timely delivery of insightful commentary.
Proactively identify, investigate, and evaluate opportunities to enhance operational efficiency while assessing potential financial risks that may impact the organization’s processes and systems.
We provide guidance to staff on managing non-standard reporting transactions and address questions related to financial reports.
Conduct thorough reviews of financial reconciliations encompassing bank accounts, petty cash transactions, accruals, prepayments, group entities, and external facilities.
Review and validate supplier payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with approved documentation, maintaining meticulous records of all transactions.
Develops and delivers key outputs and deliverables that drive project success and meet established objectives.
Accurate and current financial reporting involves providing precise financial data and reports essential for informed decision-making processes.
Financial management entails the proficient execution of accounting policies and procedures to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial operations.
