Main Purpose:

To uphold impeccable standards of cleanliness, hygiene, organization, and presentation within the official residence, this position plays a critical role in maintaining an environment that reflects excellence and professionalism at all times.

The assistant housekeeper will collaborate with the head housekeeper to uphold the property’s dual role, ensuring it remains a welcoming private residence while also serving as an elegant setting for official diplomatic functions, high-profile social gatherings, and prestigious representational occasions.

We are seeking a candidate to fulfill the following duties and obligations: conducting comprehensive analyses of operational processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency improvements, and implementing strategic solutions to enhance productivity. The position demands meticulous attention to detail, robust problem-solving capabilities, and a proactive approach to addressing challenges. Additionally, the role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with organizational objectives, maintaining accurate documentation, and adhering to compliance standards. Perform routine maintenance and uphold cleanliness standards to ensure a safe and orderly environment.

Perform comprehensive cleaning duties by vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and sanitizing all rooms, bathrooms, and public areas to maintain a pristine and hygienic environment.

Expertly maintain and preserve delicate possessions, including antique furniture, fine fabrics, silverware, and crystal pieces, through meticulous cleaning and protective measures.

Waste management involves overseeing the correct disposal and recycling of waste materials to maintain environmental sustainability and regulatory compliance.

Responsible for overseeing the procurement, processing, and distribution of linens and laundry services, ensuring high standards of cleanliness, organization, and operational efficiency. Duties include managing inventory levels, coordinating with vendors to maintain supply chains, and implementing protocols to minimize waste and maximize resource utilization. Additionally, the role involves supervising staff, training team members on proper handling and maintenance techniques, and adhering to health and safety regulations. Strong attention to detail, proficiency in inventory management systems, and excellent organizational skills are essential to succeed in this position.

Laundry Services encompass the cleaning, pressing, and steaming of household textiles—such as sheets, towels, and tablecloths—and may occasionally include personal garments.

You are responsible for ensuring the neatness and organization of both household and official wardrobes.

Stock rotation involves overseeing the inventory of linens to maintain optimal supply levels at all times.

We provide operational and administrative support to ensure seamless workflow and organizational efficiency. This role involves managing office procedures, coordinating schedules, handling documentation, and facilitating communication across departments. Additionally, we are responsible for maintaining records, processing data, and supporting various administrative tasks to uphold operational standards. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office software are essential. The position requires the ability to multitask, prioritize effectively, and work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Inventory management responsibilities include procuring, tracking, and replenishing cleaning supplies, consumables, and essential household items to ensure adequate stock levels at all times.

Maintenance Reporting: Responsible for promptly identifying and documenting any repairs, electrical malfunctions, or plumbing concerns, and relaying this information to the High Commission’s administrative team.

Security Awareness involves upholding strict confidentiality standards, adhering to established security protocols, and overseeing contractor access to laundry equipment servicing areas.

Maintaining the visual appeal and cleanliness of the environment remains a top priority. This role involves consistently ensuring that all areas are presented in an attractive and orderly manner, with a keen focus on high standards of presentation and upkeep.

Crafting and maintaining fresh floral displays and tending to indoor plants to elevate the visual appeal and ambiance of the residence.

Ensuring all public and private spaces adhere to the elevated presentation standards mandated for a diplomatic mission.

Required qualifications, expertise, and experience include a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Mathematics, along with a minimum of five years of professional experience in software development or related roles. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, and familiarity with frameworks like Django, Spring, or .NET is highly desirable. Candidates must demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Additionally, experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and DevOps practices is preferred, as is a proven track record of delivering scalable and efficient software solutions.

Possesses a demonstrated track record in housekeeping and laundry operations, with expertise in fabric care protocols, stain removal methods, and proper garment handling procedures.

Seeking candidates with a background in hospitality or catering, ideally within a private residence or luxury hospitality environment.

Demonstrates strong self-motivation and collaborative skills, thriving in both independent and team-based work environments.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, or during official events when necessary.
