Responsibilities:

Prepare patients for dental procedures by providing a warm welcome, offering reassurance, and ensuring their comfort as they are seated. Review their completed health forms, and drape them appropriately to maintain a clean and sterile treatment environment.
Instrument assembly involves sterilizing instruments and transporting them to the treatment area, ensuring proper positioning for dentist accessibility, as well as providing suction and passing instruments as needed.
Incorporate the four-handed and four-eyes dentistry methodologies to ensure optimal patient care and procedural accuracy.
Support the dentist in preparing and combining dental materials as required for procedures.
Capture detailed intraoral images, perform pulp vitality assessments, and prepare study casts by pouring, trimming, and polishing them to provide essential diagnostic information.
Assist with a range of specialized dental procedures, including periodontal therapy, endodontic treatments, prosthodontics, oral surgery, implant placement, and restoration.
Fabricating provisional restorations, selecting appropriate shades, and performing cleaning and polishing procedures for removable appliances are essential responsibilities in this role.
Provide patients with comprehensive education on maintaining optimal oral hygiene, controlling plaque buildup, and adhering to postoperative care instructions, including any medications prescribed by the dentist.
Document dental care services by recording detailed notes in patient files using specialized dental software.
Ensure a secure and sanitary workplace by adhering strictly to established procedures, rules, and regulations outlined in hospital policy.
To maintain the functionality of dental equipment, perform all preventive maintenance tasks as outlined by manufacturer specifications, promptly identify and resolve malfunctions through troubleshooting, and arrange for professional repairs when necessary.
