Job Purpose
The Managing Director & CEO will oversee the strategic planning, design, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of the high voltage electricity transmission grid and regional power interconnectors.
The role is tasked with reporting to the Board of Directors on the formulation and execution of the Company’s strategic direction, vision, mission, and objectives, as well as the mobilization and oversight of its resources. Additionally, the position involves providing leadership and guidance to ensure the Company fulfills its mandate, as outlined in Sessional Paper No. 4 of 2004 on Energy, the Energy Act No. 1 of 2019, and the State Corporations Act, Cap 446.
Oversee and execute critical operational duties essential to the role, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Manage a diverse range of tasks, including strategic planning, process optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to drive efficiency and productivity. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, addressing inquiries and facilitating seamless communication to maintain strong professional relationships. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and implement data-driven solutions to enhance overall outcomes. Lead initiatives that support business growth, innovation, and continuous improvement while adhering to compliance standards and industry best practices.
Demonstrating leadership to senior management and staff while guiding their performance and development.
Responsible for directing the planning, design, construction, ownership, operation, and maintenance of high voltage electricity transmission grids and regional power interconnectors.
Promoting national and regional power trade to support socio-economic development remains a critical priority.
The individual will be responsible for overseeing the Company’s operations and providing strategic leadership and administrative direction in alignment with the Board’s guidance.
Overseeing the execution of all Government Directs, Administrative Circulars, and
Issued executive orders pertinent to the company’s mandate.
Ensuring adherence to regulatory standards throughout the creation, development, and execution of strategic goals, policies, and initiatives.
Building and maintaining strategic relationships with regulators, government ministries, departments, agencies, development partners, and other stakeholders at both national and international levels.
The position involves managing the acquisition of goods, services, and works, as well as overseeing inventory control and asset disposal, all while ensuring full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
To secure and deploy resources in alignment with the Company’s Strategic Plan, engaging the Exchequer, Development Finance Institutions, Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mechanisms, and other innovative financing avenues.
Spearheading the execution of diverse revenue streams and business prospects within the organization.
Providing strategic guidance to the Board of Directors regarding business prospects aimed at bolstering the Company’s expansion and long-term viability.
Developing and executing Human Resource policies and organizational frameworks that are transparent, equitable, and incorporate robust succession planning measures.
To ensure adherence to corruption prevention measures, implement established policies while submitting regular reports to the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACH).
Effectively overseeing corporate risk management, ensuring stringent quality assurance protocols, and instituting robust internal controls are essential responsibilities.
Cultivating and upholding a favorable corporate reputation and public perception through strategic initiatives and consistent messaging.
Formulating and overseeing the execution of Strategic Plans, Business Strategies, and tariff revenue requirements in alignment with both the Company’s short-term and long-term objectives is essential.
Maintaining a deep understanding of the markets and industry in which the Company operates is essential to identifying and capitalizing on strategic opportunities.

Ensure alignment of the annual budget, procurement plan, work plan, and performance contract with the organization’s strategic objectives and priorities.
Maintaining precise financial and accounting records in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements is essential for the Company.
Seeking a highly motivated individual with a Bachelor’s degree in nursing or a related healthcare field, preferably with prior experience in a clinical setting. Must possess strong critical thinking skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in medical terminology, patient assessment techniques, and electronic health record systems is essential. Additionally, candidates should demonstrate excellent communication abilities, compassionate patient care, and a commitment to upholding professional and ethical standards in healthcare delivery.
Academic qualifications required for this position include a Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as neuroscience, psychology, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution. Candidates must demonstrate a strong research background, evidenced by publications in peer-reviewed journals and experience with experimental design, data analysis, and grant writing. Additionally, proficiency in statistical software (e.g., R, SPSS) and familiarity with neuroimaging techniques (e.g., fMRI, EEG) are essential. Prior postdoctoral training or equivalent research experience is strongly preferred.
A master’s degree from an accredited institution is required.
A recognized institution must have granted a Bachelor’s degree.
Holds recognized credentials or active affiliation with esteemed professional organizations pertinent to the field.
A professional body membership, when applicable, must be held in good standing.
A current and valid practicing certificate or license, as required by applicable regulations, must be held.
A leadership certification program of a minimum duration of four weeks, offered by an accredited institution, is required.
Demonstrated expertise in utilizing office automation software applications is essential.
