Our esteemed client in the hospitality sector is recruiting a diligent and committed Kitchen Steward to reinforce the back-of-house operations. The selected candidate will uphold stringent cleanliness and sanitation protocols throughout the kitchen, manage dishwashing duties, sanitize kitchen equipment, oversee waste disposal, and ensure adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations within a dynamic five-star hospitality setting. Oversee and execute critical responsibilities essential to the role, including developing and implementing strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional projects, and ensuring alignment with organizational goals. Lead and collaborate with diverse teams to drive operational excellence, optimize processes, and enhance productivity. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership to inform decision-making. Ensure timely and accurate reporting on key performance indicators and project milestones.
Promptly and efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and all kitchen equipment.
Maintain pristine conditions for kitchen floors, walls, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation zones.
Responsibilities include maintaining the proper handling, storage, and organization of all kitchen equipment and supplies to ensure efficiency and safety.
Assist chefs and kitchen personnel with fundamental food preparation tasks and operational duties as needed.
Ensure waste materials are disposed of in compliance with established hygiene and safety protocols, prioritizing meticulous adherence to regulatory standards throughout the process.
Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of garbage collection areas at all times.
Refill all cleaning supplies promptly and communicate any shortages to management immediately.
Operate dishwashing machines and other sanitation equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols to ensure efficient cleaning operations.
Adhere rigorously to all established standards governing food safety, health protocols, sanitation practices, and workplace safety protocols.
Provide support to ensure the upkeep of cleanliness during conferences, banquets, and other large-scale events.
Maintain adherence to the rigorous cleanliness and presentation benchmarks synonymous with five-star hospitality.
Address all cleaning requests from the kitchen and food & beverage teams without delay.
Ensure thorough execution of deep cleaning schedules and regular upkeep of kitchen facilities to maintain optimal cleanliness and operational standards.
Requirements
A hospitality diploma or certificate is required for this role.
A qualification in Food Production, Hospitality, or a related discipline provides an additional benefit for this position.
A minimum of one to two years of experience as a Kitchen Steward in a hotel, restaurant, or other hospitality setting is required.
Proficiency in high-volume or luxury hospitality environments is strongly preferred.
Understanding of food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and sanitation guidelines is required.
Proficient in the safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals and equipment is required.
Capable of maintaining physical fitness and sustaining prolonged periods of standing.
Effective collaboration and clear, concise communication abilities are essential.
Must demonstrate adaptability to varying schedules, encompassing weekends and holidays.
