Job Summary

Our client in the hospitality sector is recruiting a meticulous and diligent Kitchen Steward to reinforce back-of-house operations. This position entails upholding rigorous cleanliness and sanitation protocols throughout the kitchen, including dishwashing, equipment cleaning, waste management, and adherence to food safety and hygiene regulations in a high-paced, five-star hospitality setting. Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, physical stamina, keen attention to detail, and the ability to perform efficiently in a demanding, high-standard hospitality environment.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties including the development and implementation of strategic initiatives, management of cross-functional teams, and execution of key projects aligned with organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to established policies, procedures, and compliance standards while maintaining high levels of efficiency, accuracy, and accountability in all operational activities. Collaborate closely with senior leadership to drive performance improvements, optimize resource allocation, and foster a culture of continuous innovation and excellence. Monitor progress through regular performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and implement corrective actions as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.

Promptly and efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, glassware, pots, pans, and all kitchen equipment.

Maintain pristine conditions in kitchen floors, walls, workstations, storage areas, and food preparation zones.

Properly manage the handling, storage, and organization of all kitchen equipment and supplies to maintain efficiency and safety standards.

Provide essential assistance to chefs and kitchen personnel by performing fundamental preparation tasks and offering operational support as needed.

Handle waste materials in accordance with established hygiene and safety protocols to ensure proper disposal and compliance with regulations.

Maintain cleanliness and proper upkeep of designated garbage collection zones.

Responsibilities include replenishing cleaning materials and promptly informing supervisors when stock levels are running low.

Operate dishwashing machines and other cleaning equipment with precision and adherence to safety protocols.

Adhere strictly to food safety protocols, health regulations, sanitation guidelines, and workplace safety standards at all times.

Provide support in maintaining a pristine environment for conferences, banquets, and other large-scale events.

Maintain adherence to the meticulous cleanliness and presentation standards synonymous with five-star hospitality.

Address cleaning requests from the kitchen and food & beverage teams without delay.

Facilitate the implementation of thorough cleaning schedules and perform regular kitchen upkeep tasks to uphold high standards of sanitation and operational efficiency.

Seeking a detail-oriented professional who demonstrates expertise in project management with at least five years of relevant experience. Must possess strong analytical skills and proficiency in risk assessment methodologies. Requires excellent communication abilities to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. Familiarity with regulatory compliance and industry standards is essential. A candidate should exhibit problem-solving acumen and adaptability to dynamic work environments. Preferred qualifications include certifications such as PMP or PRINCE2 and prior experience in a leadership role.

A hospitality diploma or certificate is required for this position.

A qualification in Food Production, Hospitality, or a closely related discipline is highly beneficial.

Seeking a candidate with at least one to two years of hands-on experience as a Kitchen Steward in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting.

Preferred experience includes roles within fast-paced or luxury hospitality environments.

Proficiency in food safety protocols, hygiene practices, and sanitation standards is required.

Proficient in the safe handling and application of cleaning chemicals and equipment.

Capable of maintaining physical fitness and standing for extended periods.
