Position Summary

The Program Officer will facilitate the execution, coordination, oversight, and stakeholder engagement efforts for multiple initiatives within Alone Initiative. This role will require leading the “Transforming Helmet Safety in Kenya: From Regulation to Market Compliance” project, which focuses on enhancing motorcycle helmet safety regulations, compliance frameworks, and institutional coordination across Kenya. In addition to spearheading this project, the officer will provide support for other Alone initiatives. Key responsibilities include assisting with policy dialogues, technical advisory sessions, stakeholder coordination, research initiatives, monitoring and evaluation activities, and engagement with government bodies, development partners, transport stakeholders, and civil society organizations. Candidates must possess robust project coordination capabilities, a background in policy or governance-related programs, and a proven commitment to road safety, transport governance, public policy, standards compliance, or sustainable mobility.

Oversee a range of critical duties, including collaborating with cross-functional teams to align project objectives, analyzing complex data to identify trends and opportunities, and implementing strategic initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
