JOB PURPOSE
Responsible for ensuring the secure, precise, and efficient preparation, dispensing, and inventory management of medications across all pharmacy units at Premier Hospital, including the First Floor Pharmacy, Chemotherapy Section, Main Pharmacy, and Main Store. This position requires meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, strong collaborative skills, and full compliance with regulatory standards to uphold patient care and medication safety at the highest level.
The primary responsibilities involve overseeing key operational tasks to ensure seamless workflow efficiency. This includes managing project timelines, coordinating cross-functional teams, and implementing strategic initiatives to drive organizational growth. Responsible for accurately dispensing medications and providing comprehensive support to patients, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatments and addressing any inquiries or concerns regarding their medications.

The role involves performing duties within the chemotherapy section, including preparing and administering chemotherapy treatments, ensuring patient safety and comfort, maintaining accurate records of drug administration, monitoring patients for adverse reactions, collaborating with oncologists and nurses to develop and adjust treatment plans, and adhering to strict protocols for infection control and hazardous material handling. Additionally, the position requires maintaining equipment, ordering and stocking medications, and providing patient education on treatment processes and side effects. Strong attention to detail, knowledge of oncology protocols, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.

Your position involves overseeing and maintaining accurate records of inventory and stock levels, ensuring optimal supply chain operations, and preventing discrepancies that could affect productivity. You will be responsible for tracking inventory movements, conducting regular audits, and coordinating with procurement teams to align stock with demand forecasts. Additionally, you will analyze usage patterns to identify trends, recommend replenishment strategies, and implement measures to minimize excess inventory and reduce waste. Proficiency in inventory management software and strong attention to detail are essential for this role.
Oversee the pharmaceutical inventory across multiple dispensing pharmacies to ensure optimal stock levels and timely replenishment.
Oversee the prompt rotation of stock, avert potential product expirations, and uphold precise inventory documentation.
Pharmacy operations management, including oversight of daily workflows, inventory control, and adherence to regulatory standards. Prepare pharmaceutical orders for inpatients across general wards and specialized units.
Ensure the secure storage and proper handling of controlled substances at all times.
Engage in ward rounds as needed for medication-related interventions.
Ensure precise management of prescription records, inventory tracking, and patient transaction processing.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team are necessary. Additionally, experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and familiarity with DevOps practices are highly desirable. Excellent communication skills to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders are also required.
A Pharmacy Diploma is required for this role.
Requires a minimum of two years of relevant experience, with at least one year gained in a high-volume hospital environment.
A strong command of the MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is essential.
