Burn seeks a Head Chef to oversee all kitchen and cafeteria operations, maintaining exceptional food quality, hygiene, cost control, and operational efficiency. The position requires leading kitchen staff, managing inventory and procurement processes, and fostering continuous improvement across food service operations.

Oversee and execute a range of critical tasks and obligations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational standards. Responsible for managing kitchen expenditures and maintaining financial operations within established budgetary allocations to ensure fiscal efficiency and adherence to organizational spending guidelines.

Ensure the quality, consistency, and compliance of food preparation processes are maintained through vigilant oversight.

Monitor inventory levels, manage procurement planning, and ensure effective stock control to maintain optimal supply levels.

Process Service Requests (SRQs) and Problem Reports (PRs) utilizing Microsoft Dynamics NAV to ensure accurate documentation and resolution tracking.

Compile and evaluate daily, weekly, and monthly reports detailing food cost, consumption trends, and wastage metrics to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and cost reduction.

Examine ways to enhance operational efficiency while minimizing food waste to uncover cost-saving opportunities and streamline processes.

Direct oversight of employee training initiatives, along with supervisory responsibilities and performance evaluations, is a core component of this role.

Ensure the strategic planning and distribution of kitchen resources are carried out effectively across all shifts.

Address operational challenges that have been escalated to you and effectively resolve concerns related to food quality or service standards.

Ensure the cafeteria consistently meets and exceeds established operational standards and service quality benchmarks.

Maintain the proper functionality, upkeep, and safety of all kitchen equipment and facilities at all times.
