The intern will collaborate with the Regional Seabed Branch (RSB), providing technical and logistical assistance in the execution of the Branch’s initiatives and programs, as well as facilitating coordination efforts among the 18 Regional Seas. Reporting directly to the Coordinator, the intern’s responsibilities will include:
Compose and develop diverse communication materials across various formats, including Regional Seas newsletters, website articles, social media content, briefs, talking points, speeches, and human-interest stories.
Create engaging multimedia content, including photos, videos, infographics, presentations, and other visibility materials, to enhance the communication outputs of Regional Seas projects.
Facilitate the strategic planning and execution of communication campaigns and visibility initiatives for pivotal events such as the Regional Seas global meetings, World Cleanup Day, and the United Nations Climate Change Conference.
Facilitate the dissemination of communication materials across digital channels, media organizations, and partner networks, ensuring the continuous updating and maintenance of Regional Seas’ communication platforms by regularly uploading news, events, and publications while keeping the content and editorial schedule current.
Support the Branch’s operations by undertaking additional assignments as needed, aligning with the Intern’s preferences and ensuring seamless workflow continuity.
A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related discipline is required for this position. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms, including SEO, email marketing, and social media management. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with strong analytical abilities, are essential. Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the technology or SaaS sector, is highly desirable. Knowledge of CRM systems, data analysis, and marketing automation software is a plus. The ideal candidate will exhibit creativity, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
