Position Overview
The Swimming Pool Attendant/Boat Rider is responsible for ensuring the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests utilizing the hotel’s swimming pool and boating facilities. This position integrates guest service, vigilant safety oversight, and efficient equipment management to provide an exceptional recreational experience.
Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards. Provide leadership in managing projects from inception to completion, maintaining strict adherence to deadlines and budget constraints. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, enhance productivity, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor performance metrics and KPIs to assess progress, identify areas for optimization, and implement data-driven solutions. Serve as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, fostering transparent communication and maintaining strong professional relationships. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and best practices to uphold accountability and mitigate risks.
Ensure guest safety by actively monitoring pool and boating areas, preventing accidents, enforcing established safety protocols, and responding without delay to any emergencies that may arise.
Maintain the cleanliness of the pool deck, boats, and adjacent areas while monitoring water quality and escalating any concerns.
Handle and store boats, life jackets, and poolside equipment with care, maintaining their condition and ensuring they are properly secured when in use.
Provide attentive, friendly assistance to guests regarding poolside requirements, boat excursions, and recreational options, ensuring all inquiries are addressed with clarity and professionalism.
Collaborate effectively with lifeguards, recreation staff, and hotel management to align guest activities seamlessly.
Qualifications
Proficient in swimming with strong aquatic skills; lifeguard certification is advantageous.
Proficiency in operating small boats or watercraft with a focus on safety is required.
CPR and First Aid certification is strongly preferred, though not mandatory.
A background in hospitality, particularly in roles within hotels, resorts, or recreational facilities, is highly desirable.
Demonstrates exceptional interpersonal skills, fostering welcoming and professional interactions with guests from various backgrounds.
