As Sous Chef, you will serve as the pivotal force behind our kitchen operations throughout Nairobi. Reporting directly to the Head Chef, this role demands active leadership engagement, where you will oversee seamless kitchen functionality, uphold the exceptional food quality our guests demand, and cultivate the growth of your team.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

Maintain consistent presentation and taste standards across all branches to ensure superior food quality. Every service experience must meet these exacting standards without exception.

Cost and waste management involve stringent oversight of food expenditures, minimizing unnecessary losses, and ensuring precise stock rotation to maintain optimal inventory levels.

You oversee the full scope of kitchen operations, managing prep scheduling, duty rosters, supply coordination, and inventory control to ensure seamless daily functionality.

Provide guidance and encouragement to kitchen staff, fostering their professional growth and enhancing team performance through consistent coaching and mentorship. Schedule and conduct frequent one-on-one and group meetings to assess progress, address concerns, and reinforce a positive work environment where employees feel valued and committed to excellence.

You are responsible for maintaining uncompromising hygiene and compliance standards at all times. This includes rigorously adhering to food safety protocols, handling equipment with proper care, and ensuring the team is fully prepared for any emergency situation.

Ensure exceptional guest satisfaction by actively monitoring feedback, promptly resolving issues, and guaranteeing a positive experience for every visitor.
