Position Summary

PA SGR is currently recruiting a Senior Communications Officer responsible for overseeing corporate communications, public relations, digital engagement, and the promotion of the organization’s initiatives. Under the direct supervision of the Executive Director, this position will contribute to program execution, knowledge management, and resource mobilization through targeted communication strategies.

Oversee and execute a range of critical duties, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results, maintaining strict adherence to project timelines and budget constraints. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Monitor progress through performance metrics, generating reports to track outcomes and identify areas for improvement. Serve as a key liaison between departments, fostering clear communication and resolving discrepancies to support seamless workflows. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, promoting professional growth and fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and best practices to mitigate risks and uphold accountability.

Spearhead the formulation and execution of PA SGR’s Communications Strategy, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering stakeholder engagement.

Oversee all aspects of corporate communications, branding initiatives, and public relations strategies to ensure cohesive messaging and a strong organizational reputation.

Responsibilities include managing all digital properties, such as the company website, online platforms, and social media channels, to ensure consistent branding, engagement, and performance across all touchpoints.

Coordinate the development and production of publications, multimedia content, and documentation to ensure timely and high-quality delivery. Manage workflows and collaborate with cross-functional teams to align content creation with project objectives and organizational standards. Oversee the entire production lifecycle, from initial concept and content gathering to final editing, design, and distribution. Ensure consistency in branding, messaging, and style across all materials while adhering to deadlines and budget constraints.

Enhance relationships with media outlets and key stakeholders to foster strong communication channels and collaborative partnerships.

Assist with the development and execution of fundraising strategies and communications to advance program objectives.

Applicants must possess a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, along with at least three years of professional experience in a comparable role. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are essential, as well as proficiency in industry-standard software and tools. Excellent communication and organizational abilities are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities. Experience in project management or leadership roles is highly desirable.

A master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Media Studies, or a closely related discipline is required.

With a minimum of eight years of experience in a comparable senior communications capacity, you bring substantial expertise and leadership to the role.

Proficient in crafting compelling narratives, engaging written content, and producing high-quality multimedia assets are essential.

Professional candidates should possess a proven track record in leveraging digital platforms, fostering media engagement, and implementing strategic communication initiatives.

Proficiency in English with exceptional communication skills is required; fluency in French constitutes an additional asset.
