JOB PURPOSE
The position involves ensuring the secure, precise, and efficient preparation, dispensing, and inventory oversight of medications across all pharmacy units within Premier Hospital, including the First Floor Pharmacy, Chemotherapy Section, Main Pharmacy, and Main Store. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strict adherence to safety protocols, collaborative teamwork, and full compliance with regulatory standards to uphold exceptional patient care and medication safety.
Oversee and execute a wide range of key responsibilities, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and operational standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement initiatives that enhance efficiency, productivity, and overall performance. Develop and maintain processes to monitor progress, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive continuous development across various projects. Prepare detailed reports, analyze data trends, and present actionable insights to stakeholders to support informed decision-making. Dispensing medications accurately and providing exceptional patient support are essential responsibilities of the role. Accurately prepare and dispense medications in strict accordance with prescribed orders.

Provide support to clinical teams by addressing inquiries related to medications and conducting prescription evaluations.
Manage medication requirements for both outpatient and inpatient services provided by the First Floor Pharmacy.
The chemotherapy section is responsible for administering and managing chemotherapy treatments, ensuring adherence to established protocols and patient safety standards. This role requires proficiency in handling cytotoxic agents, monitoring patients throughout treatment, and maintaining accurate documentation of drug administration and patient responses. Additionally, the incumbent must collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans, provide patient education on treatment processes and side effects, and support adherence to evidence-based practices to optimize therapeutic outcomes.
Provide support in the meticulous preparation, accurate labeling, and precise dispensing of chemotherapy medications while adhering to stringent safety protocols.
Ensure adherence to oncology-specific protocols and standards for protective equipment to maintain compliance.
Work collaboratively with oncology team members to confirm the accuracy of chemotherapy prescriptions and dosing.
The role involves overseeing inventory tracking, stock control, and supply chain coordination to ensure optimal availability of products. Responsibilities include monitoring stock levels, conducting regular audits, and analyzing usage patterns to prevent shortages or overstocking. Additionally, the position requires maintaining accurate records, coordinating with suppliers for timely replenishment, and implementing efficient inventory systems to streamline operations and reduce costs.
Oversee the pharmaceutical inventory across various dispensing pharmacies to ensure optimal stock levels and compliance with regulatory standards.
Ensure stock rotation is performed promptly to prevent expiration and maintain precise inventory records at all times.
Overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations to ensure efficient and compliant functioning of the facility, including inventory management, prescription processing, and adherence to regulatory standards.
Develop and process medication orders for inpatients across general wards and specialized units.
Maintain the secure storage and proper handling of controlled substances at all times to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and safeguard against unauthorized access or misuse.
Attend ward rounds as needed to provide medication-related interventions.
Maintain precise records of prescriptions, track stock movements, and ensure accurate patient transactions.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required for the position. A minimum of five years of professional experience in software development is necessary, with expertise in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++. Proficiency in database management systems and cloud computing platforms is also essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are critical. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
Holds a Diploma in Pharmacy qualification.
Experienced professionals with a minimum of two years in the field, including at least one year within a high-volume hospital environment, are required.
Must possess strong skills in utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
