KSH 50000 TO 75000
Responsibilities
Prepare, cook, and present dishes in line with established menus and recipes.
Support daily kitchen operations during staff absences or peak demand periods.
Ensure consistent quality in both Chinese cuisine and Kenyan/local dishes.
Assist in food preparation, portioning, and plating as required.
Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety in compliance with HACCP and company policies. • Ensure proper storage and handling of food supplies and ingredients.
Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth service delivery.
Follow instructions from the Head Chef or Kitchen Supervisor.
Minimize food wastage and support cost-control initiatives.
Ensure timely preparation and delivery of meals during service periods.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Chef, Cook, or similar role in a busy kitchen environment.
Demonstrated experience in both Chinese cuisine and Kenyan/local cuisine is mandatory.
Certificate or Diploma in Culinary Arts or related field is an added advantage.
Strong knowledge of food preparation techniques, kitchen equipment, and food safety standards.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as required.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
High level of discipline, cleanliness, and attention to detail.
