Oversee daily operations to ensure seamless workflow and adherence to established protocols, maintaining high standards of efficiency and productivity. Develop and implement strategic initiatives aimed at optimizing performance and achieving organizational objectives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts and foster a cohesive work environment. Monitor progress through regular assessments, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective measures as necessary. Provide leadership and mentorship to team members, fostering professional growth and accountability. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies while promoting a culture of safety and excellence.

Assist in maintaining adherence to all relevant regulations by overseeing daily operations and conducting routine assessments to confirm compliance with current legislation, regulatory mandates, internal policies, procedures, documentation standards, and control mechanisms.

Support the identification, assessment, control, and enforcement of compliance risks to mitigate potential threats effectively.

Assist in detecting suspicious transactions and promptly escalating these activities to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer while ensuring confidentiality is maintained throughout the process.

Review and maintain company processes, operational manuals, and systems to verify they remain current with applicable regulations, policies, mandates, escalations, and controls.

Collaborate with the assistant manager, risk and compliance, to identify compliance deficiencies and propose corrective actions.

Ensure to complete follow-up actions with all relevant stakeholders regarding the finalization of the Compliance Gap Analysis and its associated Tracker.

Performing additional tasks as may be required from time to time is an expectation of this position.

We seek a candidate with a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role, ideally holding a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. The ideal applicant must demonstrate excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, and the capacity to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams. Prior to project management experience and a track record of meeting deadlines are highly desirable. Additionally, familiarity with current industry trends and regulatory compliance is required.

A minimum requirement includes a Second Class Upper Degree in a Finance-related discipline, a Bachelor of Laws, or a Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field.

Requires a thorough grasp of pertinent industry laws and regulations. Must cultivate expertise in current legal frameworks and compliance standards, ensuring ongoing awareness of legislative updates and evolving regulatory demands.

Strong analytical capabilities are required to assess intricate data and pinpoint compliance concerns. You will perform comprehensive research to interpret and implement applicable regulatory mandates effectively.

Demonstrates exceptional precision and thoroughness in examining documents and data, meticulously verifying accuracy and spotting inconsistencies or discrepancies to uphold compliance standards.

Highly developed organizational abilities are required to handle and maintain compliance documentation and records efficiently. The ability to prioritize tasks strategically ensures timely completion and prompt responses to compliance inquiries.

Adaptability is essential to this role, requiring the ability to respond effectively to evolving regulations and internal policies. Quick learning, and strategic adjustment are necessary to maintain compliance at all times.

Strong competency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, is required.
