Crafting precise and insightful case summaries, referral documentation, and discharge reports is essential to this role.
Presenting cases with clarity, coherence, and professionalism during ward rounds, grand rounds, morbidity and mortality audits, or other relevant forums.
Engage in clinical audit activities by utilizing the facility’s standardized audit tools to systematically document audit findings.
Assisting the Supervisor with any additional tasks or responsibilities deemed pertinent to operational needs may be required.
Fostering the adoption of knowledge-driven, evidence-based, high-quality, and ethically sound healthcare practices.
Engaging actively in the Institution’s ongoing medical education programs, as well as contributing to research and innovation initiatives, is essential.
Facilitating communication regarding internship training progress to the Internship Coordinator, Internship Supervisors, the Institution, and the Council to enhance the overall quality of the internship program.
The ideal candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Candidates must hold an MB ChB degree from a medical school accredited by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).
An internship license issued by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC) is required for this position.
Holds a current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
PALS, ATLAS, and ACLS certifications would be considered favorable qualifications.
Demonstrated completion of an elective term at a healthcare institution is required.
