The Senior Manager of Forensic Investigations holds a pivotal role in providing strategic direction, governance, and coordination of all forensic investigations within the Bank. This position is tasked with delegating investigations to team members, upholding standardized investigative protocols, and overseeing the execution of inquiries to guarantee prompt, meticulous, and proficient resolutions. The role encompasses comprehensive administrative and managerial duties, including the planning, leadership, alignment, and monitoring of investigations, while fostering optimal day-to-day performance management within the team. Additionally, the position contributes to the design and implementation of fraud awareness and investigative training initiatives for Bank staff, aimed at reinforcing the institution’s control framework and cultivating a culture of heightened fraud prevention awareness. Furthermore, the role is charged with formulating and executing investigative and fraud management strategies that align with the Bank’s policies, regulatory obligations, and long-term strategic goals.

Oversee a comprehensive range of critical duties, including managing daily operations, supervising staff, and ensuring adherence to company policies and industry regulations. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and overall performance, while maintaining a strong focus on quality control and customer satisfaction. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, allocate resources effectively, and drive continuous improvement across all departments. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify opportunities for growth, and implement corrective actions as needed. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment that promotes employee engagement, professional development, and teamwork. Maintain accurate records, generate detailed reports, and present findings to senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making.

Offer executive leadership and governance over inquiries into fraudulent activities across diverse payment systems, including but not limited to electronic banking, card fraud, SWIFT transactions, mobile banking, digital channels, ATM operations, check processing, and unauthorized fund transfers.

Investigate and oversee inquiries into questionable payment transactions, potential system breaches, phishing attempts, social engineering ploys, and anomalies in payment processing operations.

Conduct an in-depth examination and evaluation of transaction logs, system audit trails, settlement records, switch reports, card management data, and digital evidence to assess the scope and characteristics of fraudulent activities.

Collaborate with local and international payment networks, correspondent banks, regulatory bodies, telecommunications firms, and law enforcement authorities to conduct thorough investigations.

Promptly escalate and resolve payment-related fraud incidents to mitigate potential financial losses and safeguard the Bank’s reputation.

Conduct thorough assessments to uncover vulnerabilities in payment systems, channels, and processes, then propose and implement targeted fraud prevention and control improvements to mitigate risks.

Responsible for managing the preservation and analysis of digital evidence to facilitate investigations, disciplinary measures, and legal proceedings.

Investigation reports, fraud trend analyses, management updates, and regulatory reports pertaining to payment fraud incidents must be prepared.

Facilitate the deployment of advanced fraud detection systems, transaction monitoring protocols, and robust payment security frameworks.

Deliver comprehensive fraud awareness and investigative training initiatives tailored for personnel engaged in payments operations, digital banking, and electronic channels.
