Role Summary

KHF is in search of a proactive and meticulous Assistant IT and Communications Officer to oversee the Federation’s IT infrastructure and spearhead its communications, digital strategy, and member engagement efforts. This position demands an individual proficient in resolving technical network challenges while also crafting engaging member newsletters, bridging both technical and creative responsibilities seamlessly.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of critical tasks, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and industry best practices. Facilitate seamless collaboration across departments to drive project completion and enhance operational efficiency. Develop and implement strategic initiatives that optimize workflows, mitigate risks, and foster innovation. Monitor performance metrics, analyze trends, and provide actionable insights to senior leadership for informed decision-making. Uphold compliance with regulatory standards, company policies, and ethical guidelines while maintaining meticulous documentation and reporting standards. Serve as a liaison between stakeholders, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and cultivating strong professional relationships to support sustainable growth.

We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team in the Information Technology department. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing IT infrastructure, troubleshooting technical issues, and implementing innovative solutions to enhance system performance. Responsibilities include maintaining hardware and software, ensuring network security, and providing technical support to end-users. The role requires strong problem-solving abilities, proficiency in relevant technologies, and excellent communication skills. A bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field is preferred, along with relevant certifications. Experience in IT support, system administration, or a similar role is highly desirable.

Oversee the administration and upkeep of KHF’s IT infrastructure, encompassing networks, servers, hardware, and software systems.

Deliver first-level technical assistance to employees, diagnose hardware and software problems, and coordinate with external vendors to secure advanced support when necessary.

Responsibilities include ensuring robust data security measures, managing regular system backups, and enforcing compliance with established IT policies, with a focus on implementing industry-leading cybersecurity protocols.

Oversee the administration of licenses, subscriptions, and the acquisition of IT equipment and services. Ensure the seamless maintenance and support of KHF’s website, intranet, and collaboration platforms within the Microsoft 365 environment.

Assist in organizing and overseeing the technical aspects of both virtual and in-person events and webinars.

We seek a dynamic professional to oversee and execute strategic communications initiatives, ensuring consistent and compelling messaging across all platforms. The ideal candidate will develop and implement comprehensive communication plans, manage media relations, and craft engaging content for diverse audiences. Responsibilities include writing press releases, managing social media, coordinating public relations efforts, and analyzing communication effectiveness. The role requires excellent writing and editing skills, strong interpersonal abilities, and proficiency in digital communication tools. A bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in a communications or media role.

Formulate and implement KHF’s digital communications strategy across the website, email communications, and social media platforms.

Compose and distribute member communications, such as newsletters, advisories, and event invitations.

Develop engaging multimedia content, graphics, and infographics that reflect and reinforce KHF’s brand identity.

Oversee the expansion and maintenance of KHF’s social media channels while tracking engagement metrics. Assist in drafting policy documents, reports, presentations, and publications tailored for both internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Uphold KHF’s brand guidelines consistently across all communication materials and platforms that engage members.

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required, along with a minimum of five years of progressive experience in financial analysis, reporting, or a comparable role. Proficiency in advanced Excel, ERP systems, and financial modeling tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to articulate complex financial data clearly. Candidates must demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and the capacity to work under tight deadlines. Prior experience in budgeting, forecasting, or strategic financial planning is highly advantageous. Knowledge of GAAP and regulatory compliance is mandatory.

A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Communications, or a closely related discipline is required.

With a minimum of three years’ experience in IT support, communications, or a hybrid IT/communications position, ideally within a membership organization, NGO, or professional association, you will bring valuable expertise to our team.

Proven expertise in overseeing website administration using platforms such as WordPress or comparable content management systems, alongside managing email marketing tools like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar solutions.

Proficiency with graphic design software platforms, including Canva, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Express, or similar tools, is required.

Proficient knowledge of networking principles, cloud service architectures, and essential IT security concepts is required.

Proven proficiency in writing and editing is essential, with a demonstrated ability to craft clear, professional content tailored to varied audiences.

Proficiency in utilizing social media management tools and analytics platforms is required.
