We are seeking a results-driven individual to oversee and execute a diverse range of critical tasks within our organization. The ideal candidate will spearhead key projects, ensure seamless operational workflows, and maintain high standards of efficiency and accuracy across all responsibilities. Deliver technical and operational assistance to strategic planning and corporate coordination initiatives, encompassing:

Facilitate the formulation, integration, and oversight of the UNSC’s annual work plan, results frameworks, and strategic planning documents.

Support the Deputy Director and UNSC senior management by assisting in the development of strategic notes, concept notes, and internal planning documents.

Support the incorporation of gender equality and women’s empowerment objectives into UN-wide initiatives, shared methodologies, and collaborative inter-agency frameworks.

Assist with compiling briefing notes, background papers, and presentations to support senior leadership engagements, inter-agency meetings, and external events.

Deliver expert technical and operational assistance to facilitate seamless coordination within the United Nations system and among inter-agency collaborations.

Assist in compiling, analyzing, and maintaining current data regarding UN system coordination mechanisms, technical bodies, and inter-agency processes pertinent to UNSC.

Support the facilitation and follow-through of UNC initiatives, ensuring alignment and integration across the broader UN system.

Deliver comprehensive administrative and operational assistance for the planning and execution of key inter-agency meetings, events, or initiatives, such as Correlated coordination and UN system consultations.

Deliver comprehensive technical assistance to the Secretariat overseeing the Gender Equality Acceleration Plan (GAP) to ensure smooth operational and strategic execution.

Deliver comprehensive technical and logistical assistance to the coordination and partnership initiatives of the UCSD.

Facilitate UNSC’s collaboration with diverse stakeholders—such as UN bodies, Member States, civil society organizations, academic institutions, and external partners—to enhance inter-agency coordination on gender equality initiatives.

Assist with the coordination and documentation of meetings, consultations, and briefings organized by UNSC, including the development of agendas, background materials, summaries, and action items.

Provide internal coordination between UN Women divisions and offices to ensure alignment with UNSC mandates and the successful delivery of related outputs.

Support advocacy initiatives and resource mobilization strategies by conducting background research, contributing to proposal development, and engaging with stakeholders to enhance outreach efforts.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to join our team, bringing a minimum of three years of relevant experience in a similar role. Candidates must be enrolled in a graduate-level academic program, such as a second university degree or equivalent qualification, or pursue studies at an advanced level.

You must be currently enrolled in the final academic year of a first-degree university program, which should be equivalent to at least a Bachelor’s degree level.

Graduates from holding a university degree are eligible, provided they can begin the internship within two years of completing their studies if selected.

You must be enrolled in a postgraduate professional traineeship program integrated within a degree curriculum and complete the internship as a mandatory component of the program.

Language:

Proficiency in English is a prerequisite for this position.

Proficiency in an additional United Nations language is considered beneficial.
