Harley’s Limited is on the lookout for a proactive and success-oriented Marketing Executive to strengthen its East Africa business operations. The preferred candidate will have a proven track record in marketing, brand management, product launches, and market coordination, ideally within the pharmaceutical, healthcare, medical devices, or FMCG industries.

The Marketing Executive will play a key role in designing and executing marketing campaigns, refining product positioning strategies, conducting market research, and fostering stakeholder relationships—all while maintaining alignment with brand standards and adhering to local regulatory requirements.

Support product launches throughout East Africa by collaborating with Head Office Marketing and local teams to execute brand strategies. Develop promotional materials and track brand performance to ensure adherence to business objectives and compliance with regulatory standards.

Execute marketing initiatives and engagement programs aimed at healthcare professionals, institutions, and trade partners. Analyze campaign performance, gather market feedback, and deliver actionable insights to drive ongoing enhancements.

Coordinate with vendors, agencies, and suppliers to guarantee the timely production and delivery of marketing materials, while ensuring cost efficiency, adherence to documentation requirements, and maintenance of quality standards across all marketing projects.

Market research and competitive intelligence responsibilities include executing comprehensive market research initiatives, alongside ongoing surveillance of competitor actions, pricing fluctuations, and emerging market trends. The role entails synthesizing collected data into practical insights and detailed reports, which are instrumental in shaping brand strategy, informing commercial planning efforts, and driving sustainable business expansion.

Business Analytics: Develop and oversee management reports, dashboards, and performance analyses focused on sales, campaigns, tenders, and market trends. Deliver precise and punctual reporting facilitating informed business decision-making.

Provide support for tender and public institution initiatives by coordinating documentation, timelines, and inputs from various departments to facilitate participation and business opportunities. Maintain comprehensive tender records and assist in the preparation of submissions, product dossiers, and institutional presentations.

Cross-functional collaboration is essential, requiring partnership with sales, regulatory, supply chain, finance, distributors, and Head Office Marketing teams to advance critical business priorities. This role involves delivering market intelligence, facilitating training initiatives, and guaranteeing the effective execution of marketing and commercial strategies.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of five years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is essential, along with excellent communication and organizational skills. The ideal applicant will demonstrate a strong problem-solving ability and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Experience working in a fast-paced environment and handling multiple projects simultaneously is highly desirable.

An MBA or another advanced management qualification is strongly preferred.

A Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, Marketing, or a related field is required.

A minimum of five years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing, communications, brand coordination, or commercial support is required.

Proficiency in pharmaceutical launches, promotional initiatives, institutional business endeavors, or tender support activities is desirable.

Proficiency with pharmaceutical markets across East Africa is required.
