Serves as the Chief Executive Officer, holding the rank of ADAM 1, responsible for leading strategic direction, overseeing organizational operations, and ensuring alignment with long-term objectives while upholding accountability for overall performance and governance.
Compensation ranges from KSS. 260,000 to Kshs. 460,000 monthly.
A three-year term is offered, with eligibility for one additional term upon reappointment.

The Chief Executive Officer will oversee and execute the following responsibilities: directing the organization’s strategic vision, ensuring alignment with long-term objectives, and leading executive-level decision-making processes. They will provide high-level oversight of operations, financial performance, and corporate governance while fostering innovation and sustainable growth. Additionally, the CEO will serve as the primary liaison with stakeholders, including board members, investors, and partners, to cultivate strong relationships and drive organizational success.
Offering strategic direction and support to senior management and staff alike.
Developing the yearly financial plans and implementing robust internal control systems.
The implementation and dissemination of the Board’s strategies, decisions, and policies are integral to this role.
Crafting and presenting the Agency’s annual business plans to the Board for approval constitutes a key responsibility.
To establish and maintain an effective management framework, encompassing robust succession planning initiatives.
Ensuring that all Board papers are meticulously drafted, remain pertinent, and are delivered to Board members promptly.
Act as the intermediary between the Board and the Management, facilitating seamless communication and alignment of strategic objectives.
The Agency aims to fulfill its established objectives through effective strategies and dedicated efforts.
Establishing robust administrative frameworks, streamlined processes, and efficient systems forms the core of this role.
Offering consistent, comprehensive, and timely updates to the Board regarding critical technical, financial, and administrative issues is essential.
Stakeholder engagement plays a pivotal role in elevating the Agency’s corporate reputation, fostering trust, and strengthening relationships with key partners and the public.
The role entails executing the directives established by the Board, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering efficient operational outcomes through strategic implementation of approved decisions.
Day-to-day operations involve overseeing the Agency’s affairs, with a primary focus on executing policies and programs related to anti-doping initiatives, encompassing but not limited to the following activities:
Promote education and cultivate awareness through targeted initiatives and strategic communication efforts. Develop and deliver programs designed to inform and educate stakeholders, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of key topics and objectives. Foster a culture of continuous learning by providing resources, training, and engagement opportunities that empower individuals and strengthen collective knowledge.
Conduct thorough research to gather, analyze, and interpret data, ensuring accuracy and relevance to support informed decision-making and strategic planning.
We conduct comprehensive testing to ensure the reliability and performance of our systems and applications, identifying and resolving defects through meticulous evaluation. Candidates must possess expertise in developing and executing test cases, analyzing results, and implementing corrective measures to maintain high-quality standards. Proficiency in automated testing frameworks and tools is required, along with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Provide administrative assistance to the Therapeutic Use Exemption Committee.
The formulation, development, and execution of the Agency’s strategic plan, along with other essential plans, are undertaken to fulfill the Agency’s mandate.
We are responsible for overseeing the staff’s organization and management, ensuring efficient workflows and clear team coordination. Our duties include supervising personnel, fostering a productive work environment, and maintaining structured schedules to meet operational goals.
Perform additional duties as assigned by the Board from time to time.
The Chief Executive Officer will serve as the Secretary to the Board, fulfilling all associated duties and responsibilities with the utmost professionalism and diligence.
Candidates must meet the following qualifications for consideration. A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is essential, along with three to five years of professional experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is required, and strong analytical and problem-solving abilities are critical. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are also necessary to collaborate effectively with teams and stakeholders. Additionally, certification in a specialized area may be advantageous for applicants.
The Chief Executive Officer position requires that the appointee must meet the following criteria:
Applicants must hold a postgraduate qualification from an accredited institution and demonstrate a minimum of five years of professional experience in the sports sector or a related administrative field.
Possesses expertise and hands-on experience in anti-doping protocols and regulations.
Ensures full compliance with the provisions outlined in Chapter 6 of the Constitution.
