The Opportunity:

Lead the sales strategy and deliver business targets across Sub-Saharan Africa, encompassing 15 countries (including WAC, EAC, and South African neighboring markets), for key accounts and other customers by executing robust sales, marketing, and market access strategies tailored to all species (Poultry, Pets, Ruminants, Swine, Equine, VPH). Implement strategic action plans through established distribution channels and partnerships, ensuring full alignment with Boehringer Ingelheim’s global policies. The position will be headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and standards. Overseeing and driving the performance of a sales team to achieve revenue targets and expand market presence stands as a core responsibility of sales management. Requirements:

Must possess a Veterinary Degree or a Specialist Degree in Microbiology-Virology, or an equivalent qualification.

With a minimum of seven to ten years of hands-on experience in a leadership position focused on sales within the animal health sector, candidates must demonstrate a proven track record of success in this specialized field.

With a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in sales and marketing, you bring a strong history of consistently meeting targets and effectively executing strategic plans.

Regional work experience in Africa Sub-Sahara will be advantageous.

Demonstrated success in collaborating with diverse teams spanning multiple functions and departments is essential.

Accommodates regular travel requirements and possesses valid travel and driving documentation.

A background in the economics and key drivers of the Animal Health Industry is considered advantageous.
