Role Summary
The Batch Hair Technician plays a pivotal role in reinforcing brand credibility and market visibility by executing batch testing for all hair products and monitoring evolving industry trends and consumer preferences. Collaborating closely with the hair care team, the technician will contribute to tailored salon education initiatives and deliver impactful product demonstrations. Positioned in Kenya, this position emphasizes the pursuit of technical mastery by offering specialized quality assurance guidance, training salon professionals, external partners, and internal sales representatives. The technician will function as a critical liaison, ensuring hair products consistently adhere to quality benchmarks and market demands while aligning with manufacturing and brand specifications.
Oversee a range of critical duties encompassing strategic planning, team leadership, and cross-functional collaboration to drive organizational objectives. Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements through meticulous oversight and proactive risk management. Facilitate seamless communication between departments, stakeholders, and leadership to align goals and optimize operational efficiency. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance performance, productivity, and compliance. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and generate detailed reports to assess progress, identify trends, and recommend data-driven improvements. Lead initiatives to foster innovation, continuous improvement, and sustainable growth within the organization.
Quality Assurance: Uphold product quality by adhering to the established standards outlined in Hack’s standard operating procedures while ensuring alignment with market and consumer expectations.
Educational Leadership: Develop and implement the regional training calendar, which encompasses workshops, seminars, and trade show demonstrations.
Technical Sales Support is responsible for collaborating with the sales team to enhance product sell-in and conducting technical product knowledge training sessions for sales representatives.
Market Intelligence: Track emerging hair care trends and analyze competitor strategies to identify opportunities for product enhancements and portfolio expansions.
Relationship Management: Oversee technical inquiries, address product complaints, and onboard new salon partners.
Ensure uniform product application and consistent brand visibility across all professional salon settings.
We seek a candidate with a minimum of five years of relevant professional experience in the field, complemented by a proven track record of delivering measurable results. The ideal applicant will hold a bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills are essential, alongside the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams. Familiarity with industry-specific tools, software, or methodologies is preferred, as is a demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development. Previous roles in similar environments will be considered advantageous.
A Diploma in Hairdressing and Beauty is required.
A minimum of four years of practical experience as a professional stylist is required.
Languages: Candidates must demonstrate native-level proficiency in both English and Kiswahili.
An in-depth knowledge of advanced hair care techniques, along with fluency in Microsoft Office applications and exceptional presentation abilities, is required.
A strategic-minded professional with a strong sense of organization, assertiveness, and meticulous grooming.
Exceptional proficiency in hairstyling, coupled with a keen awareness of evolving market trends, will be considered a valuable asset.
