Finance team members are tasked with receiving, tracking, and managing donated funds—contributed in accordance with sacred principles—to ensure their secure and accountable allocation toward the Church’s religious objectives, all under the oversight of senior ecclesiastical leadership. This role serves as an entry-level position in professional accounting, where the individual applies established accounting frameworks to specialized records and financial statements. The incumbent provides support in sustaining a precise and current general ledger, as well as compiling routine financial reports to facilitate transparency and operational efficiency.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to oversee daily operations, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. This role involves managing workflows, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining meticulous records to support compliance and reporting. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in a similar capacity, with strong organizational and problem-solving skills to address challenges proactively. Additionally, the position requires excellent communication abilities to liaise with stakeholders and provide clear updates on progress. Compiling journal entries and performing necessary adjustments constitute essential responsibilities.
Initiating general ledger file maintenance, performing account reconciliations and reviews, and clearing outstanding ledger items.
Review expenditures to ensure alignment with budgetary allocations, reconcile discrepancies, investigate variances, and process corrective journal entries as needed.
We provide support in compiling diverse financial projections and detailed expense documentation.
Auditing project accounts ensures adherence to established policies, while verifying compliance standards and regulatory requirements. Additionally, this role involves liaising with relevant stakeholders to provide updates on project progress and address any identified discrepancies or concerns.
Assisting in the development and guidance of priesthood leaders alongside junior accountants represents a key component of this role.
We seek candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, coupled with at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, along with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams. Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality results under tight deadlines are equally important. Additionally, familiarity with regulatory standards and compliance requirements is highly desirable.
A Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business management—with a specialization in financial accounting—is required.
Hold a recognized professional qualification and active membership in pertinent professional organizations, including but not limited to CPA(K), ARCA, or CISA.
Individuals in this position must possess a comprehensive understanding of the accountant code of conduct and exhibit a solid grasp of financial and accounting theory, along with familiarity with established accounting policies and generally accepted accounting principles.
Candidates should possess a minimum of four to six years of hands-on accounting experience at the professional level.
Extensive experience with computerized accounting systems is essential.
Requires proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, along with substantial hands-on experience. Familiarity with Oracle or People soft systems is advantageous.
Proficient in dissecting intricate accounting issues and interpreting detailed financial statements is essential.
A strong candidate should possess the capability to design and implement accounting systems aimed at reducing and managing potential risks effectively.
Strong reconciliation expertise is required for this role.

Must possess strong proficiency in English, demonstrating exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
