Required Qualifications
The ideal candidate for the Interpreter position must demonstrate proficiency in both spoken and written translation between designated languages, ensuring accuracy and cultural relevance. Fluency in at least two languages is required, with strong listening, comprehension, and articulation skills essential for facilitating clear communication. Prior experience in interpreting—whether in legal, medical, or business settings—is highly preferred, along with the ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional ethics. Additional qualifications include exceptional interpersonal skills, adaptability to diverse environments, and the capacity to work under pressure while delivering precise and timely translations.
Proven expertise in Kenyan Sign Language (KSL) is essential.
Interpreting experience is required in settings such as conferences, workshops, training sessions, and public events.
Effective interpersonal abilities and excellent communication skills are essential.
Proven skill in collaborating productively with varied teams of youth and key stakeholders.
Demonstrating a steadfast dedication to fostering an inclusive environment, ensuring accessibility for all individuals, and upholding the highest standards of professional ethics.
