The Activation Officer is instrumental in expanding Ave news’ training and education initiatives through dynamic activations, interactive training sessions, and in-person pitches. This position focuses on enhancing the scope, efficiency, and excellence of all field-based operations, which encompass partner engagements, product presentations, industry expos, conferences, and localized marketing initiatives. A high-energy, results-driven role, this position demands regular travel, exceptional presentation and communication abilities, and the capacity to manage and deliver multiple projects concurrently. The preferred candidate will exhibit enthusiasm, meticulous organization, strong public speaking confidence, and a natural ease with field-based responsibilities.

We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to oversee daily operations, ensuring adherence to established protocols and achieving performance targets. The role involves managing a team, coordinating workflows, and facilitating communication between departments to enhance productivity. Additionally, the position requires thorough monitoring of project progress, conducting regular assessments to identify areas for improvement, and implementing corrective actions as needed. The individual will be responsible for organizing and overseeing all field-related operations, ensuring seamless execution and adherence to project timelines. Collaborate effectively with the Partnership & Field Activity Manager and Field Officers to organize and coordinate training sessions, activations, and pitch meetings across various regions.

Coordinate all aspects of event logistics, encompassing venue preparation, requisite materials, necessary equipment, and the arrangement of participant transportation.

Develop and manage an activity calendar to facilitate the seamless coordination of field engagements, training sessions, and community events.

Conduct training sessions and deliver on-ground pitches and educational presentations.

Conduct informative and compelling training sessions tailored for agricultural small and medium-sized enterprises, collaborating partners, groups, communities, and professional networks.

Present innovative Ave news solutions directly to prospective clients and collaborators through engaging, on-site product demonstrations and persuasive presentations.

Facilitate entry into new value chains by delivering targeted training programs, customized educational initiatives, and value-chain-specific events and engagements.

Develop training materials customized to diverse audiences, aligning the content with their varying degrees of familiarity, specific requirements, and operational environments.

Marketing Activations & Events

Develop and implement targeted marketing initiatives, brand enhancement campaigns, and interactive events to cultivate brand recognition and foster customer trust.

Demonstrate Ave news’ presence and engagement at trade shows, industry conferences, promotional tours, and local community events.

Coordinate booth setup, staff scheduling, demonstrations, and customer interactions during events.

Collaborating effectively with both field and headquarters teams is essential to ensure seamless execution of projects and alignment with organizational goals. This role requires regular interaction with diverse stakeholders to gather insights, address challenges, and drive coordinated efforts across departments. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary to facilitate information sharing, resolve conflicts, and maintain productive working relationships. Additionally, the ability to adapt to varying perspectives and priorities ensures that all teams remain aligned and motivated toward achieving shared objectives.

Collaborate closely with Field Officers to pinpoint regions with significant potential and community-driven prospects.

Facilitate field activities for Sales and Business Development teams by preparing and providing essential materials, delivering impactful presentations, and driving localized engagement initiatives.

Deliver actionable insights gathered from field observations to enhance training materials, marketing communications, and customer engagement strategies.

Reporting & Performance Tracking

Monitor attendance records, evaluate engagement metrics, and assess the results of every training session and activation.

Each week, compile and present a comprehensive report summarizing completed tasks, key learnings, challenges encountered, and potential opportunities identified.

The role focuses on optimizing field operations by enhancing efficiency, maximizing cost-effectiveness, and amplifying overall impact. By strategically analyzing and refining workflows, it directly contributes to bolstering sales performance and achieving organizational objectives.

Develops warm leads by conducting activations and training sessions.

Demonstrate product knowledge to prospective customers, enhancing their comprehension prior to engagement with the Sales team.

Provides insights to improve targeting and conversion. How the Role Supports BizDev

Facilitating educational sessions on products and partnerships for partners’ staff, customers, and associated networks.

Representing Ave news at expos, conferences, and partner events as required, ensuring strong brand presence and engagement.

Providing BizDev with post-training insights on partner interest, capacity, gaps, and readiness.

Requirements

Seeking candidates with two to four years of hands-on experience in field activations, training initiatives, community engagement efforts, product demonstrations, or sales support roles—ideally within the agriculture, fintech, or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) sectors.

Exceptional proficiency in addressing audiences and leading group discussions is essential.

Proficiency in organizing and executing on-ground activations, events, or community outreach programs is required. Candidates must demonstrate strong capabilities in managing logistics, coordinating teams, and overseeing multiple field activities simultaneously.

Proven ability to thrive in demanding travel schedules and onsite fieldwork assignments.

Fluency in both English and Swahili, with proficiency in local dialects considered beneficial.

Organized, reliable, energetic, and comfortable working with diverse communities.
