Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is mandatory. Minimum of 3 years of experience in software development, with proficiency in Java, Python, or C++ required. Familiarity with database management systems, such as SQL or NoSQL, is essential. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment are necessary. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are also required to effectively convey technical information to diverse audiences.
The ideal candidate for the Interpreter position must meet the following qualifications: a strong command of both source and target languages, including fluency in grammar, syntax, and cultural nuances; exceptional listening, comprehension, and verbal communication skills; prior experience in interpreting, preferably in a professional or formal setting; strong interpersonal abilities to facilitate clear and accurate exchanges between parties; cultural sensitivity and adaptability to diverse audiences; and the capacity to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards. Additionally, proficiency in specialized terminology relevant to the field—such as legal, medical, or technical domains—is highly preferred. The ability to work under pressure, multitask efficiently, and deliver precise translations in real-time is essential.
Exhibits a strong command of Kenyan Sign Language (KSL).
Skilled in delivering interpretation services for conferences, workshops, training sessions, and public events.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities are essential for this role.
