Job Summary:
This role offers an exceptional chance to engage a skilled Senior Finance Manager who will report directly to the Finance Controller. The successful candidate will furnish strategic leadership, operational oversight, and comprehensive direction to the finance department. Additionally, they will oversee the team of accountants.
Duties and responsibilities include overseeing daily operations to ensure efficiency and productivity, managing a team of professionals while fostering a collaborative work environment, and implementing strategies to meet organizational goals. This role requires developing and maintaining departmental budgets, analyzing financial performance, and identifying opportunities for cost savings. Additionally, the position involves preparing comprehensive reports, presenting findings to senior leadership, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. Strong leadership, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in relevant software and tools. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in a similar role and the ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Oversee the accounting functions encompassing Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, and Legal Counsel, while also handling Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition for the Group company.
Compile and release accurate monthly financial statements in a timely manner.
Oversee the compilation and submission of regulatory reports, ensuring adherence to established guidelines and timelines. Manage the entire reporting lifecycle, from data collection to final filing, while maintaining accuracy and compliance with applicable regulations.
Investigate complex accounting matters to ensure adherence with regulatory standards.
Facilitate the completion of month-end and year-end financial reconciliation procedures.
Maintain strict oversight of financial transactions and reporting ensuring accuracy and compliance with established standards and regulations.
Develop and execute strategies to mitigate tax-related risks while ensuring comprehensive tax planning initiatives are implemented.
Oversee and ensure adherence to all applicable local, state, and federal government reporting obligations and tax filing mandates.
Our responsibilities include creating and documenting comprehensive business processes and accounting policies, aimed at enhancing and solidifying internal control frameworks.
As needed, additional controller responsibilities may be assigned.

Proficiency in pertinent tools, methodologies, or software, as well as industry-recognized certifications where applicable, are highly desirable.
ARCA or CPA certification is required for this position.
With a minimum of a decade’s cumulative expertise in accounting, finance, or audit functions, candidates will possess a robust background in these disciplines.
Professional experience with a Big Four accounting firm—specifically, PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), Deloitte, Ernst & Young (EY), or BDO—is required.
Proficient in tax law and accounting standards with a comprehensive understanding of regulatory frameworks.
Proficiency in managing KRA tax audits and fostering strong relationships with the Kenya Revenue Authority are essential requirements for this role.
Holds an advanced degree in the field of accounting.
