THE OPPORTUNITY

The Corporate Affairs Coordinator plays a pivotal role in fostering strong external relationships and enhancing stakeholder engagement to uphold the organization’s social license to operate, with a dedicated operational emphasis on the Nairobi Plant.

Serving as the primary liaison, this position facilitates daily interactions between the organization and local stakeholders, meticulously overseeing community, local authority, regulatory, and partner engagements to ensure they are well-organized, thoroughly documented, responsive, and fully aligned with the Group’s corporate affairs and sustainability strategy.

The Plant Level Corporate Affairs role involves overseeing and implementing corporate communication strategies, stakeholder engagement initiatives, and community relations programs at the plant level. Key responsibilities include managing internal and external communications, fostering relationships with local authorities, business partners, and community leaders, and ensuring alignment with corporate policies and values. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, business administration, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of relevant experience in corporate affairs, public relations, or a comparable discipline. Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills are essential, as is the ability to work collaboratively across departments and with senior leadership to drive organizational goals.
