The primary objective of this position is to fulfill the specified duties and responsibilities outlined within this role. To achieve the established annual premium targets, we are focused on expanding our medical insurance operations, ensuring robust growth in the business segment.

Oversee a comprehensive array of critical duties encompassing project management, stakeholder communication, and team leadership to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive efficiency, innovation, and sustainable growth within the department. Serve as a primary point of contact for internal and external partners, facilitating seamless collaboration and resolving complex issues. Monitor performance metrics, analyze data trends, and recommend actionable improvements to enhance operational effectiveness. Prepare and present detailed reports, presentations, and proposals to senior leadership, fostering informed decision-making. Mentor and coach team members to cultivate a high-performance culture, promote professional development, and achieve collective goals. Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices while maintaining rigorous quality standards.

Develop and secure new business opportunities, either independently or through intermediaries, across all relevant channels.

Ensure consistently high levels of customer service are provided to intermediaries and clients alike.

To maintain and support current business operations, perform necessary tasks to ensure seamless service delivery and client satisfaction.

Monitor and track renewals for medical insurance accounts to ensure timely processing.

Please transmit completed proposal forms along with all required Know Your Customer documentation to the underwriting department for review.

Maintain timely premium collections in accordance with the established credit control policy.

Compile weekly reports in adherence to the standards set forth by BDM Corporate Health.

Perform preliminary underwriting evaluations based on established guidelines to uphold the integrity of risk acceptance.

Handle all incoming inquiries from customers and clients promptly and professionally.

As stipulated in the Delegated Authority Matrix, authority is delegated accordingly.

Demonstrate adaptability by undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and operational needs.

Required are candidates with a strong academic background and relevant professional experience in the field. Applicants must possess the necessary certifications or licenses pertinent to the role, along with a proven track record of success in similar positions. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential, as is the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Proficiency in industry-specific software and tools, as well as a solid understanding of best practices and regulatory standards, is also required.

A bachelor’s degree in actuarial science or a closely related business discipline is required.

A recognized insurance qualification such as ACID or INK, or ongoing pursuit of an insurance certification, is required.

A minimum of three to five years of hands-on experience within the insurance sector is required.
