Oral health remains a critically underappreciated component of healthcare in Kenya, underscoring the significance of this position.

Many individuals in the communities we serve have lacked access to thorough dental examinations not due to indifference but because high-quality dental care has historically been inaccessible.

We currently operate seven dental units integrated within our medical centers across Nairobi, with plans for expansion. We seek Community Oral Health Officers who are not merely seeking employment but are eager to contribute to a transformative initiative enhancing oral health accessibility.

We are actively seeking applicants for four full-time COHO positions, available in the following locations:

Tangela, located approximately 30 kilometers southeast of Nairobi, serves as a vital urban center within Kannada County, Kenya. Recognized for its rapid growth and strategic positioning along major transportation routes, the area boasts a diverse economy driven by agriculture, manufacturing, and service sectors. With a population exceeding 300,000 residents and ongoing infrastructure development, Kitengela presents significant opportunities for commerce, investment, and community development. Proximity to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport enhances its appeal as a logistics and business hub.

Kahawa West

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated professional to join our team in the vibrant Kariobangi South area. The ideal candidate will possess a strong educational background in [relevant field] along with at least [X] years of hands-on experience in [specific industry or role]. WHAT YOUR DAY LOOKS LIKE

Conduct comprehensive patient examinations, diagnose prevalent oral health conditions, and provide both preventive and restorative treatments.

Educate patients on maintaining optimal oral hygiene through engaging, memorable methods that go beyond simple pamphlet handouts.

Collaborate with the dentist and interdisciplinary care team to integrate oral health considerations into the comprehensive patient care plan.

Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation while ensuring adherence to the clinical standards our patients rely on.

Ensure your supplies and equipment are properly managed, as we maintain fully stocked clinics to allow you to concentrate on delivering quality care.

Participate actively in community outreach programs designed to engage individuals who have traditionally lacked access to essential dental care services.

Continuously monitor advancements in dental practice to support ongoing enhancements in quality.

YOU’RE A GREAT FIT IF…

You are required to possess a Diploma in Community Oral Health or a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Oral Health, both obtained from a reputable academic institution.

You must possess a current and valid practicing license issued by the Kenya Medical Practitioners and Dentists Council (KMPDC).

You possess a minimum of two years of post-internship clinical dental practice experience.

You excel in conveying information with clarity to both patients and colleagues, demonstrating the ability to create a comfortable and reassuring environment for all involved.

Remain composed and efficient under tight deadlines while independently prioritizing tasks and managing your schedule with minimal oversight.

You demonstrate an unwavering dedication to ongoing professional development and prioritize the safety of patients above all else.

You excel in collaborative settings and demonstrate a willingness to go above and beyond in your role.
