We are currently seeking a highly skilled professional to fulfill this critical position, which involves overseeing key operational tasks and driving strategic initiatives to enhance organizational performance. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day activities, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring alignment with company objectives. Direct responsibility for designing, executing, and tracking all of CENAC’s programs throughout Kenya.

Establish and nurture collaborative relationships with civil society organizations, governmental bodies, and community groups to foster alignment and shared objectives.

Oversee the preparation and maintenance of project reports and monitoring and evaluation (M&E) data to uphold accountability standards.

At CENAC, you will serve as the primary representative in engagements with stakeholders and during official meetings, acting as the organization’s ambassador to ensure effective communication and alignment with strategic objectives.

Assist in the preparation of proposals and contribute to fundraising initiatives.

To verify that all initiatives are in accordance with CENAC’s mission and safeguarding policies.

Seeking a candidate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with a minimum of three years of experience in software development roles. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with expertise in database management systems like SQL or NoSQL. Strong problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team are highly valued. Additionally, familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure, as well as DevOps practices, will be advantageous. Excellent communication skills and a passion for continuous learning are also required to thrive in this dynamic environment.

A relevant academic background, such as a Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Public Health, Environmental Science, or an equivalent discipline, is required for this position.

With a proven track record in program coordination or management within the nonprofit sector, candidates should bring hands-on experience in overseeing initiatives and ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

Demonstrated expertise in project oversight, progress reporting, and strategic stakeholder communication is essential.

Preferred candidates will have prior experience in WASH (Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene), environmental initiatives, or community development initiatives.

A proactive individual, flexible in approach, and located in Kenya.
