Job Purpose
The role aims to facilitate funding mobilization and execute strategic resource mobilization initiatives by engaging in key activities that secure and sustain revenue streams, including fostering relationships with current and prospective funders and uncovering new funding avenues. Additionally, the position involves crafting persuasive fundraising proposals that effectively convey the foundation’s objectives and requirements to potential donors. The contributions made through this position are vital to building a robust network of supporters, ensuring the foundation’s long-term viability.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field required.
• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience, including proficiency in object-oriented programming and design patterns.
• Extensive experience with Java, Python, or C++ development, along with strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures.
• Proven expertise in designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable backend systems, with a focus on performance optimization and system reliability.
• Experience with distributed systems, microservices architectures, and cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
• Familiarity with relational (e.g., PostgreSQL) and NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB) is essential.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, with a methodical approach to debugging and troubleshooting complex issues.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of collaborating effectively in cross-functional teams and articulating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Commitment to writing clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Development Studies, or a closely related discipline is required for this position.
With a minimum of six years of hands-on experience in fundraising and resource mobilization, candidates should demonstrate a proven track record of success in securing financial support and strategic partnerships.
Expertise in crafting compelling grant proposals, cultivating donor relationships, and leading effective fundraising initiatives is essential.
