Deliver technical assistance for the hospital’s electrical systems and assigned equipment, encompassing both routine maintenance and urgent repairs.
Record all electrical activities and test results in compliance with established departmental protocols and procedures.
Respond to user departments’ Breakdown Maintenance (BDM) system and equipment failure requests in accordance with established policies without delay.
Perform Preventive Maintenance (PPM) for electrical systems and equipment in a timely manner to ensure optimal functionality and reliability.
Serves as the primary point of contact with user departments to coordinate maintenance activities and promptly escalates any arising issues to the supervisor for resolution.
Over time, the incumbent will perform recurring duties and fulfill key responsibilities that are essential to the ongoing operations of the organization. These periodic tasks include maintaining accurate records, ensuring compliance with established protocols, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve operational objectives.
Coordinate and/or support initiatives for special projects, including planning for the acquisition and purchase of new systems or equipment, as well as the creation of bid specifications.
Collaborate with the electrical supervisor to establish Preventative Maintenance schedules and guidelines.
Design and implement comprehensive safety protocols and specialized in-service training programs for technicians and equipment operators, ensuring adherence to device-specific guidelines as required.
Conduct incident investigations and analyze system and equipment performance as needed.
Prepare or assess emergency and safety protocols concerning the utilization and functioning of electrical systems and equipment.
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++ is essential, along with strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. Prior experience in software development, system design, or relevant technical roles is highly desirable. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams are also required. Additionally, familiarity with cloud platforms, DevOps practices, or cybersecurity principles will be advantageous.
A diploma in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Power Systems or equivalent academic credentials is required.
Minimum of two years of relevant professional experience in a comparable role is required.
Proficiency in computer applications will be considered a valuable asset for this role.
Proficient in the technical operation and maintenance of high-voltage and low-voltage distribution systems, as well as switchgear and control systems, diesel generators, steam boilers, laundry, and kitchen equipment.
