ABOUT THE ROLE

Each day, develop and implement engaging activities tailored to the children’s developmental needs, ensuring alignment with the established curriculum, schemes of work, and lesson plans to foster their social, physical, and emotional growth.

Collaborate with the resident teacher to establish a classroom setting that fosters academic growth, aligns with students’ developmental stages and interests, and ensures a structured and goal-oriented learning atmosphere.

Engage fully in various avenues for professional advancement, such as daily team gatherings and reflective sessions, weekly meetings focused on professional growth, instructional coaching, and institution-wide learning and reflection activities.

Collaborate with the resident teacher to continuously evaluate student progress through ongoing assessments. Utilize assessment findings to adapt instructional content and refine delivery methods as needed.

Offer diverse materials and resources for children to engage with, both in structured learning activities and unstructured imaginative play, fostering exploration and hands-on discovery.

Provide guidance and supervision to students regarding the proper use and maintenance of equipment and materials to minimize risks of injury and prevent damage.

To design and facilitate activities that foster physical, mental, and social growth—including games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling—organize and lead these initiatives with purpose and engagement.

Prepare and organize materials, classrooms, and both indoor and outdoor spaces to support engaging play, educational experiences, and the development of motor skills while ensuring a safe environment.

Monitor and assess each child’s development, compiling detailed written evaluations to be shared with the Principal, other school administrators, and parents.

Monitor and maintain accurate documentation of each child’s developmental milestones and progress through detailed, ongoing reports.

Deliver personalized and collaborative instruction, tailoring teaching strategies to accommodate students’ diverse learning preferences and academic goals.

Assist newly arrived students in adapting to the school setting by warmly welcoming them, aiding in the removal of their outerwear, and suggesting engaging activities tailored to their interests.

Develop and implement behavioral standards, policies, and operational guidelines to ensure a structured and orderly environment for students.

Design and oversee educational initiatives such as class projects, field excursions, guest lectures, and hands-on learning experiences, while mentoring students to extract meaningful lessons from these opportunities.

Professional development is maintained and enhanced through participation in meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops.

Assist with the secure and orderly boarding and alighting of passengers from the bus to ensure safety and efficiency throughout the process.

ABOUT YOU

Required Skills and Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential. Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure is a must. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a collaborative team environment are also necessary. Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines is preferred. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are required. At least 3 years of relevant work experience in software development or a related role is mandatory. Candidates should possess a solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and software design principles.

Certified by the Teaching Service Commission (TSC) and holding a Degree in Education or a P1 Diploma, the ideal candidate must possess the necessary qualifications to fulfill the role effectively.
