Each day, organize and implement engaging activities for the children, meticulously aligning them with the curriculum, schemes of work, and lesson plans to ensure they address social, physical, and emotional development effectively.
Collaborate with the resident teacher to establish a classroom setting that fosters academic growth, aligns with students’ developmental stages and interests, and ensures a structured and purpose-driven learning atmosphere.
Engage fully in various avenues for professional advancement, such as daily team meetings and debriefs, weekly professional development sessions, instructional coaching, and institution-wide learning and reflection opportunities.
Collaborate effectively with the resident teacher to continuously evaluate student performance through ongoing assessments. Leverage assessment data to refine instructional content and delivery methods as needed, ensuring alignment with student needs and learning objectives.
Deliver an array of engaging materials and resources that children can interact with, examine, and utilize during both structured learning sessions and creative, imaginative play.
Provide guidance and supervision to students on proper utilization and maintenance of equipment and materials to minimize risks of injury and prevent damage.
Organize and lead engaging activities that foster physical, mental, and social growth, including games, arts and crafts, music, and storytelling.
To ensure a safe and engaging environment, organize and set up materials, classrooms, and both indoor and outdoor spaces to support creative play, learning, and motor-skill development.
Monitor each child’s development and compile detailed written evaluations to be shared with the Principal, additional school administrators, and parents.
Track and document each child’s developmental milestones and progress through detailed, structured reports to ensure ongoing assessment and support.
Deliver personalized and group-based instruction, tailoring teaching strategies to address the diverse academic requirements and learning preferences of students.
Upon arrival, welcome children warmly, assist them in removing their outerwear, and guide them toward activities that align with their interests to facilitate a smooth transition into the school environment.
Enforce behavioral guidelines and implement policies and procedures to ensure a structured and orderly environment for students.
Plan and lead class projects, organize field trips, coordinate guest visits, and facilitate other experiential learning opportunities, ensuring students derive meaningful insights from participation.
Participate in professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to continuously enhance and uphold professional competence.
Provide support with the boarding and disembarking of passengers from the bus to ensure a safe and orderly process.
ABOUT YOU
Qualifications and skills required include a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of five years of experience in software development. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or C++ is essential, along with experience with cloud platforms like AWS or Azure. Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills, and the capacity to work collaboratively in a team environment are also necessary. Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems like Git is preferred.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a TSC certification alongside a Degree in Education or a P1 Diploma.
Seeking candidates with a minimum of one year and up to three years of hands-on teaching experience in an educational setting.
You possess strong technical proficiencies in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, enabling efficient document creation, presentation development, and data management.
