The Program Assistant facilitates on-the-ground execution, ongoing monitoring, and data administration for the School Feeding Program and its associated sustainability efforts. This position guarantees precise data collection, adherence to school-level protocols, and prompt reporting of field operations.

Collaborate with designated schools to execute approved school feeding initiatives in alignment with established plans.
Facilitate the organization of food delivery operations at the school level, encompassing receipt and preliminary verification procedures.
Support the coordination of field operations and stakeholder outreach initiatives.
Support the implementation of school-based sustainability initiatives under the Sustainable School Meals Project (SSMP), in collaboration with the SSMP Project Officer, encompassing the establishment, monitoring, and provision of technical guidance for kitchen gardens, crop cultivation, and poultry rearing, among other activities.
The incumbent is tasked with overseeing the collection, analysis, and dissemination of data to track progress, ensure accountability, and support informed decision-making across the organization. This role involves maintaining accurate records, compiling performance metrics, and generating insightful reports to monitor program outcomes and operational efficiency. Additionally, the position requires evaluating the effectiveness of initiatives, identifying trends, and providing actionable recommendations to enhance strategic planning and resource allocation. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in data management tools are essential for success in this position.
Compose quarterly and annual reports to document and communicate the progress of implementation efforts.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date beneficiary and school records, including enrollment details, feeding data, and contact information.
Regular school monitoring visits are conducted to ensure the timely delivery of food, adherence to food quality standards, proper storage and utilization of food by schools, and other critical aspects of implementation.
Assist in documenting Program Change/Impact narratives to ensure accurate and comprehensive records of modifications and their effects.
Deliver ongoing updates regarding the school feeding program’s implementation across all designated platforms.
Contribute to the gathering of data for needs assessments, baselines, and impact evaluations at both the school and community levels.
Ensure consistent utilization and timely updates of all required tools and trackers at all times.

With a minimum of two years of proven expertise in pertinent areas, candidates must have held progressively responsible positions within School Feeding, Agriculture, Community Development, or Education in Emergencies.
Possesses expertise in agricultural and agronomy practices, with a focus on educational institutions and neighboring communities, either through formal training, practical experience, or both.
Proficiency in working within Arid and Semi-Arid Lands (BASAL) regions and among local communities will be highly beneficial.
A valid motorcycle operator’s license is strongly preferred.
Must demonstrate both willingness and capability to operate a motorcycle for transportation to project sites.
Proven track record in meticulously overseeing and documenting the progress of complex projects, ensuring accurate and timely reporting throughout all phases of development.
Proficient in leveraging various data collection and reporting tools, including Kobe, OK, Google Forms, Excel, and Sheets, among others.
