THE ROLE

We seek a highly driven, commercially minded Head of Sales to spearhead and expand our revenue streams. This executive position holds full accountability for the digital and commercial print sales division, encompassing strategic leadership, team management of Account Executives, acquisition of new business, and direct oversight of critical client relationships. Reporting directly to the General Manager, this role will also serve as a pivotal member of the leadership team, contributing to key decision-making processes.

We are seeking a highly motivated professional to oversee a range of critical tasks, including strategic planning, team leadership, and project execution. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional departments to ensure seamless workflows, maintain rigorous quality standards, and drive operational efficiency. Responsibilities encompass monitoring performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity. Additionally, the role requires fostering a culture of accountability, mentoring team members, and aligning activities with organizational goals to achieve sustainable growth. Proficiency in data analysis, stakeholder communication, and problem-solving is essential, along with a proven track record in delivering measurable results.

Responsible for achieving the organization’s annual revenue and new business objectives by developing and executing strategic plans. Accountable for driving sustainable growth through the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities. Ensures alignment of sales initiatives with overall company goals to maximize profitability and market expansion.

Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a team of Account Executives, establishing key performance indicators and carrying out consistent performance evaluations.

Craft and implement a comprehensive sales strategy encompassing digital print, commercial print, and emerging product lines, notably HP Indigo digital printing.

Professionally oversee and expand a strategic portfolio comprising key corporate and institutional accounts.

Prospect and cultivate a robust pipeline of opportunities by targeting key segments, including corporates, agencies, publishers, NGOs, and SMEs.

Collaborate effectively with production and pre-press teams to accurately interpret client briefs and ensure they are translated into precise deliverable specifications.

Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline reviews for presentation to the General Manager and Chief Executive Officer.

Craft and implement pricing strategies while maintaining oversight of proposal quality for the AE team.

Monitor competitive developments and evolving market dynamics to provide strategic insights that directly inform both product development and pricing decisions.

Represent the organization in key industry events, client engagements, and trade forums, serving as an ambassador for the company.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Accomplished at surpassing B2B sales targets consistently, demonstrating a high level of seniority and effectiveness in previous roles.

Proven leadership skills in directing and managing sales teams, coupled with a strong ability to mentor and inspire members to achieve their best performance.

Demonstrates a sharp business sense, with the ability to analyze profit and loss statements, interpret margins, and strategically determine pricing to drive profitability.

Proven ability to deliver compelling presentations, conduct effective negotiations, and cultivate strong, enduring client relationships.

Self-starter with a high-energy, solutions-focused approach.

A background in print, packaging, media, or a related manufacturing or services industry is highly beneficial.

Proficiency in digital print technology is advantageous, though not mandatory, as comprehensive technical training will be provided.

A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required, with an MBA serving as a preferred qualification.
