Job purpose

To prioritize channel visits with the objective of enhancing retailer awareness and improving SIM and Float performance, while ensuring strong visibility and effective merchandising at the point of purchase for SOS and Trash agents.

Oversee a range of essential duties, including managing daily operations, ensuring adherence to company policies, and fostering a productive work environment. Lead and mentor a team of professionals, delegating tasks efficiently while maintaining clear communication and accountability. Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive performance, optimize workflows, and achieve organizational goals. Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess progress, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions as needed. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align efforts, streamline processes, and enhance overall efficiency. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and internal guidelines to mitigate risks and maintain operational integrity.

SSO & Agent Recruitment & Mapping – Responsible for strategically identifying and recruiting Agents, with a focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Conduct regular visits to SOS and Agents in alignment with established route plans and beat schedules.

Provide the necessary tools to facilitate transactions at SSO and agent outlets and conduct training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents on the required processes.

AML training and development initiatives will focus on educating agents about anti-money laundering (AML) protocols, alongside instructing SSO son the Know Your Customer (KYC) process, specifically in connection with SIM REG compliance.

Float and stock management responsibilities include overseeing and maintaining adequate inventory levels to support seamless agent operations. You will enforce a 1.5x stock coverage rule to ensure agents are sufficiently supplied while verifying that Stock Sales Officers (SOS) maintain optimal stock levels of SIM cards for new registrations and activations.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SOS and Agent outlets.

Seeking candidates with a strong academic foundation and relevant professional experience to fulfill this role. Applicants must possess the necessary qualifications, including a degree in a related field and demonstrated expertise in their industry. Professional certifications or licenses may also be required, depending on the position. Ideal candidates will have a track record of success in similar roles, along with the ability to apply their knowledge effectively in a dynamic work environment. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential to thrive in this position.

A bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required.

Proven experience in van sales or a similar sales role

Holders of a current, unrestricted driver’s license are required.

Experience

With a minimum of one year of hands-on experience in sales and distribution within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) or telecommunications sectors, you will bring a proven ability to drive revenue and optimize supply chains. Your background will demonstrate a solid understanding of market dynamics, customer engagement strategies, and the ability to meet and exceed sales targets. Additionally, familiarity with distribution networks and key performance indicators in these industries will be essential to your success in this role.
