Direct the planning, execution, and delivery phases of upstream projects, ensuring seamless coordination and leadership throughout each stage.
Create comprehensive project plans, timelines, budgets, and progress monitoring mechanisms to facilitate streamlined project delivery.
Oversee the alignment and execution of technical, commercial, procurement, logistics, HSE, and operational workstreams to ensure cohesive project delivery.
Oversee project schedules, potential risks, financial allocations, and key performance indicators to guarantee the successful completion of projects.
Prepare Expressions of Interest (Lois), tenders, technical proposals, and commercial submissions with precision and thoroughness.
Identify and monitor emerging business prospects across Kenya and the broader East African region to assess their strategic viability.
Facilitate the organization and execution of project meetings, stakeholder engagements, and progress evaluation sessions to ensure alignment and accountability throughout the initiative.
Facilitate collaboration and strategic alliances with telecommunications operators, construction contractors, and specialized technical service vendors to strengthen operational partnerships.
Maintain adherence to HSEQ standards, contractual commitments, and applicable regulatory mandates to ensure full compliance across all operations.
Compile project reports, design dashboards, provide management updates, and develop executive presentations.
Facilitate budgeting processes, conduct thorough commercial assessments, and contribute to strategic operational planning initiatives.

Required for consideration are a bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience, along with at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Proficiency in industry-standard software and tools is essential, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, are necessary to collaborate effectively across teams and stakeholders. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a track record of meeting deadlines and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
A bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Energy, Business, or a related discipline is required, with a master’s degree serving as an additional benefit.
A minimum of seven years of hands-on experience in the oil and gas, energy, or infrastructure sectors is required.
Proficiency in upstream oil and gas project or operational support is strongly preferred.
Accomplished professional with a proven track record in leading project coordination efforts, fostering effective stakeholder relationships, and driving business development initiatives.
Agile Project Management certification, PMP, PRINCE2, or any equivalent credential will be considered advantageous.
Strong understanding of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and risk management principles.
