Job purpose

To prioritize in-person store visits aimed at enhancing retailer visibility and improving SIM and float performance while ensuring optimal visibility and merchandising standards at the point of purchase for SSO and Trash agents.

Oversee and execute a comprehensive range of duties, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and fostering operational excellence. Lead strategic initiatives, supervise cross-functional teams, and drive performance through data-driven decision-making. Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and workplace culture. Collaborate with senior leadership to align departmental goals with broader company vision, while monitoring progress through key performance indicators. Identify opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and cost optimization to maintain competitive advantage. Serve as a liaison between teams, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate seamless communication and project execution. Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, ethical guidelines, and industry-specific requirements while maintaining high standards of accountability and professionalism.

Effectively oversee the identification, recruitment, and strategic mapping of Agents, with a primary focus on mobile money outlets and high-traffic retail stores.

Regularly conduct visits to SOS and Agents in adherence with prearranged route plans, commonly referred to as beat plans.

We ensure the provision and delivery of essential business tools required for seamless transactions at SSO and agent outlets, while also conducting comprehensive training sessions for SOS and Trash Agents to familiarize them with the necessary processes.

AML training and development initiatives involve instructing agents on anti-money laundering (AML) protocols, with a specific focus on regulatory requirements. Additionally, these programs educate staff on the Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures as they pertain to the SIM Registration (SIM REG) framework.

Monitor and maintain sufficient inventory levels, ensuring adherence to the 1.5x stock rule for agents while guaranteeing sales support officers (SOS) have adequate stock SIM cards available for new registrations and activations.

Develop and uphold merchandising standards by ensuring the availability of merchandising materials at SSO locations and agent outlets.

Seeking candidates with a strong academic background and relevant professional experience. Applicants must hold a degree in a related field and possess at least three years of hands-on experience in a comparable role. Demonstrated expertise in key responsibilities, including project management, strategic planning, and team leadership, is essential. Additionally, proficiency in industry-specific software and tools is required to ensure seamless execution of duties. Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills are also critical for success in this position.

A Bachelor’s or Diploma in Business, Marketing, or a closely related discipline is required.

Experienced professionals with a track record in van sales or comparable sales positions are required.

Holders of a current, valid driver’s license are required for this position.
