Assisting in the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures serves as a key responsibility of the role.
Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data prior to payroll execution.
Conducting training needs assessments, projections, and providing recommendations on training programs.
Executive secretarial support is provided to the Management Advisory Committee, encompassing administrative duties essential to facilitate its operations and ensure seamless coordination.
Maintaining precise and up-to-date Human Resource records in a timely fashion is essential.
Executing human resource management directives in strict adherence to established rules, regulations, and procedures.
Overseeing the payroll processing ensures accurate and timely disbursement of employee compensation, including salaries, bonuses, and deductions. This role involves maintaining compliance with tax regulations, verifying time and attendance records, and resolving any discrepancies promptly. Attention to detail is essential to prevent errors that could affect payroll accuracy, while strong organizational skills facilitate efficient handling of confidential financial data. Additionally, collaboration with HR and finance teams may be required to address employee inquiries and ensure alignment with company policies.
Compiling and preparing comprehensive reports on the execution of performance management systems, specifically focusing on performance appraisals, is a key responsibility of this role. This involves gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to evaluate the effectiveness and adherence to established performance management frameworks.
Maintaining accurate documentation of staff training and development initiatives is essential. This includes updating records to reflect completed programs, tracking progress, and ensuring all information remains current and compliant with organizational standards.
Person specification
An officer must meet specific criteria to be appointed to this grade, including possessing the following qualifications and requirements.
Accumulated nine (9) years of professional experience, including at least three (3) years in a Senior Human Resource Management Officer role or an equivalent position within the Public Service or Private Sector.
A recognized institution must award a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution.
I am registered with the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM).
A degree or certification in Management from a reputable educational institution; and
Demonstrates advanced skills in utilizing a variety of computer software and applications effectively.
