In contributing to the formulation of human resource strategies, policies, and procedures, the incumbent will play a key role in shaping the organization’s workforce management framework.
The role involves reviewing and compiling data to ensure accuracy in payroll operations.
Performing training needs assessments, generating projections, and providing recommendations for training programs.
Delivering comprehensive secretarial support to the Management Advisory Committee, ensuring efficient administrative operations and seamless coordination of their activities.
Maintaining Human Resource records with precision and efficiency is essential, ensuring that all documentation is kept current and up-to-date without delay.
Develops and executes human resource management strategies in alignment with established rules, regulations, and procedures.
Overseeing the payroll processing functions is a key responsibility, ensuring accurate and timely disbursement of employee compensation, tax withholdings, and benefit deductions in compliance with applicable regulations.
Compiling comprehensive reports detailing the implementation and effectiveness of performance management systems, with a specific focus on performance appraisals, is a key responsibility of this role.
Maintaining accurate documentation of staff training initiatives and professional development activities.
Person specification
An officer must meet specific criteria to be appointed to this grade, including the following requirements:
With a total of nine (9) years of professional experience, at least three (3) of which must have been served in the capacity of Senior Human Resource Management Officer or an equivalent role within the Public Service or Private Sector.
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or an equivalent qualification from an accredited institution is required.
OR
A bachelor’s degree in Economics, Sociology, Business Administration, Public Administration, or Commerce is required, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management/Development or an equivalent credential from an accredited institution.
Registered by the Institute of Human Resource Management (HRM),
Management courses from a recognized institution are required.
Demonstrates strong skills in utilizing various computer-based software and programs effectively and efficiently.
