Responsibilities include end-to-end management of benefits operations, covering administration of medical insurance, pension, and welfare programs, as well as oversight of enrollments, terminations, and benefit modifications. The role involves addressing employee inquiries, coordinating provider escalations, and collaborating with brokers, underwriters, and benefits providers to uphold service delivery standards. Additionally, the position encompasses annual benefits reviews, monitoring utilization trends, and executing employee communications.
Serving as the primary liaison for occupational health and safety inquiries, this role involves overseeing pre-employment and periodic medical assessments, managing FIBA claims procedures, documenting injuries and incidents, and ensuring adherence to DISH reporting standards across all operational regions.
Overseeing the wellness and mobility support function involves organizing quarterly wellness initiatives, administering gym and fitness provider partnerships, evaluating program efficacy, and facilitating employee relocation and international assignment procedures—such as visa, work permit, and immigration documentation coordination.
This position is accountable for vendor management, ensuring compliance with SLAs via Fresh service or comparable systems, overseeing PO and invoice tracking, and developing reporting and dashboard frameworks that enhance visibility and continuous improvement within the function.
What we’re looking for
Experienced in HR operations, benefits administration, or HR Shared Services, with a strong background in employee benefits, occupational health coordination, or global mobility support—preferably within a multi-country context.
Possesses a solid grasp of Kenyan labor law, the Work Injury Benefits Act (FIBA) 2007, and DISH compliance standards, coupled with practical experience in occupational health initiatives or work injury management programs, and familiarity with East African employment regulatory frameworks.
A degree in Human Resources, Law, Business Administration, or Psychology—preferably at the master’s level or accompanied by HR certification—along with demonstrated analytical strength and a proven track record of leveraging HR data to enhance operational efficiency.
